## What is reecalm.me?

Deleted the apps. Set the limits. Bought a blocker. Still scrolling?

reCalm starts with a breath, not a block. When you reach for the feed, it asks you for one breath first. Ten seconds. Then the app opens, if you still want it.

That sounds like it should not work. It works because the reach is automatic and the breath is not. Most of the time you are not even interested in what you are looking at. You just opened it. One breath is enough to notice that, and noticing is enough to put the phone down.

Why the blockers did not hold

A block makes you angry at the app instead of the scrolling. So you disable it, or you wait out the timer doing nothing, or you find the loophole, because there is always a loophole. Then you are back where you started, and now you are paying for it.

reCalm gives you nothing to get past. You can always continue. If you are still scrolling at the third check-in, it can shield the apps you chose, and even then one breath opens them. You set that rule. You can change it. The pause is the whole product.

What it looks like

A breath. One slow round, guided, with something to follow so you are not counting in your head.

Your day, in a ring. Every pause you took, laid out over the hours, so you can see the shape of the day rather than a number that makes you feel bad about it.

A quiet check-in. What you noticed, in one tap, when you want to. Nothing to fill in. Nothing that nags you if you skip it.

Timi. A small grey stone that sits with you while you breathe. It does not celebrate, it does not shame you, and it does not have a streak to protect.

What it will not do

It will not lock your whole phone.
It will not shield anything you did not ask it to shield.
It will not report your screen time to anyone.
It will not send you a guilt notification for a day you missed.
It will not ask you to keep a streak alive.
It will not sell or share what you write down.

Price, said up front

The breathing is free. All of it, every day. There is no daily count and no trial that switches off. The subscription adds the interruption: the check-ins that turn up while you scroll, your chosen apps waiting for one breath, and your full history with the day ring. Seven days free, then the price shown on the plan screen before you agree to anything. Cancel in two taps from Settings.

We are saying this here because you have been caught by this category before, and so have we.

Who it is for

People who have already tried, more than once. Who know the brainrot by name and do not need an app to explain it.

If you have never tried to fix this, you probably do not need us yet. Download it, take one breath, and see whether you still want the feed.
