## What is Reel Sarasota?

Reel Sarasota helps local anglers find fishing spots, share what they're catching, and know before they go.

DISCOVER SPOTS
Browse a map of ponds, lakes, canals, rivers, piers, and boat ramps around Sarasota — from Celery Fields to Siesta Key to Venice Fishing Pier. Filter by water type and see what other anglers rate each spot.

TAG YOUR OWN
Found a spot the map doesn't have? Drop a pin, note the access type, and choose whether to keep it private, share it with friends, or make it public for the whole community.

LOG YOUR CATCHES
Record species, length, weight, bait, and gear for every fish you land — attach a photo if you want. Just pick a spot and a species to save; everything else is optional.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Check current weather, today's and this week's tides (NOAA), red tide status near Sarasota (FWC), and solunar bite predictions — all in one Conditions tab.

STAY WITHIN THE RULES
Quick-reference Florida FWC regulations for Snook, Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Tarpon, and more — sized and season limits specific to the Sarasota Bay region, with links to the official source.

BUILD YOUR TACKLE BOX
Track your stats, earn badges for milestones like your first pin, your first Snook-Redfish-Seatrout slam, or landing a Tarpon, and follow other local anglers to see their public catches.

PRIVACY-MINDED BY DESIGN
No account, no email, no password — just an anonymous profile and a nickname (we ask you not to use your real name). No comments, no messaging — just structured spot and catch info, and star ratings.

Reel Sarasota Pro ($2.99/mo or $14.99/yr with a 7-day free trial) unlocks a 3-day tide forecast, unlimited following, and a supporter badge.
