## What is ReelClip?

Turn longer recordings into share-ready clips on your iPhone. ReelClip works on device, so your video stays private.

Choose the editing path that fits your footage:
• Slice: select the moments you want to keep.
• Cut: split a video by clip count, length, and spacing.
• Transcript: remove words, sentences, and pauses by editing the text.
• AI: describe the moments you want and let ReelClip plan the cuts.

Add timed captions in Pop, Karaoke, Clean, or One Word styles. Translate captions into available languages and create a synthetic dub when it fits your edit. Preview every cut before it is saved.

Save clips to Photos, export subtitle files in SRT, VTT, or plain text, or save a ReelClip project and keep editing later.

• Improved audio quality during playback and export

### 1.3 — 2026-08-23

Batch import support

### 1.2 — 2026-08-21

What's New in 1.2

• Caption styles: Pop (big outlined words), Karaoke (each word lights up as spoken), Clean (subtitle bar), and One word (one word at a time, extra big). Pick per save.

• Karaoke word highlighting: Adjustable word transition speed with a "Light up each word" toggle. Each word pops in as it's spoken.

• AI content profiles: General, Gym, Coach, or Talking. On-device AI suggests a match for your footage, and one tap puts it in play.

• Higher-quality transcription: Creator uses on-device Whisper for transcripts and subtitle exports, with broader language coverage. The model downloads once over Wi-Fi. Apple Speech stays on the free tier and as fallback.

• Creator subscription: No ReelClip watermark, clips up to 10 minutes, multiple scenes per project, unlimited AI cuts, and Whisper transcription. Weekly, monthly, yearly, or lifetime.

• Per-scene trim in batch import: Trim each scene's start and end before you create the project. Shared trim picker, centre grabbers, all on one sheet.

• Discovery tips: Contextual tips introduce AI, word-level transcript editing, captions, and the share extension as each becomes relevant, then retire.

• Transcript Reset moved to the header row, so it's easier to find when you want to start a clip over.

Everything runs on-device. Your video never leaves your phone.
