## What is ReelIntel?

Know your catch. Keep it legal. Save the memory. Wind, seas and wave period scored into one grade, plus regulations for your exact waters.

Hook a fish you don't recognize? Not sure if it's a keeper? ReelIntel is the fishing app built for Gulf Coast and Florida Atlantic anglers who want to stay legal, fish smarter, and remember every trip on the water.

Snap a photo and our on-device AI identifies your catch — then shows you the rules for your exact waters: season, size, and bag limits. So an unexpected catch never turns into an accidental fine. You don't fish for a living, and you shouldn't need to memorize a rule book to enjoy a day out.

100% free. No in-app purchases necessary.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Identify your catch — Point, shoot, and get the species in seconds. (Fish ID is a growing beta that gets sharper over time — always confirm your catch.)
• Know the rules — Instant regulations for your selected waters: season, size, and bag limits, so you make the keep-or-release call with confidence.
• Log every trip — Save each catch with up to 3 photos, kept or released, measurements, and Personal Bests. Share your catch by text or social in one tap.
• Fish smarter — AI studies YOUR logs to find YOUR patterns: the tides, conditions, and times of day that actually produce for you. The more you log, the sharper it gets.
• Test your skills — The Fish ID Quiz turns species, seasons, and limits into a game. Challenge your buddies and see who really knows their fish.
• Check conditions — Weather, wind, and surf for your fishing spots, so you know when to go.
• Stay alerted — Regulation changes on your starred species, plus reminders for the best times to fish.

WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL
Identify fish, check the rules, and log catches miles offshore — no bars required. Everything syncs across your phone and iPad when you're back in range.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
Your logs and your fishing spots are private, period. Want community heat maps showing where fish are being caught? Opt in — it's off by default, and you can turn it off anytime. Even then, we share zones, never spots: your exact fishing locations are never shared, never shown to another angler, and never appear on anyone's map. Your data is yours to export whenever you want.

COMING SOON
Measure and weigh your fish from a single photo with built-in LiDAR. No tape, no scale.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-09-28*

I love having the weather and fish identification on one screen. Had a great time on the water this weekend. I like that I could see what was in season as well. Love the app..

### How often is ReelIntel updated?

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-09-29

Offshore improvements and expanded offline support.

• Marine Conditions are now available without a signal. The last
forecast you loaded is saved to your phone and shown when you're
out of range, along with the time it was captured.

• Ocean maps are available offline as well. Chlorophyll, sea surface
temperature and the base map are saved as you view them.

• Improved wind accuracy. Forecasts for coastal spots are now drawn
from the water rather than the nearest shoreline point, so wind and
wave data come from the same location.

• Refined Fishability scoring. Wave interval is now weighed against
wave height, giving short-period chop a more accurate grade.

• Catch coordinates now open a map inside ReelIntel.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-23

Better forecasts, and a scoring model that tells you the truth.

• Thunderstorms now cap the Fishability grade. A calm-looking morning
with lightning in it no longer reads as a good day.

• Seas are judged against wave period, not height alone. Three feet at
seven seconds is a gentle roll; three feet at three seconds is not,
and the grade finally knows the difference.

• A read line locks in place on the forecast grid so you can follow one
hour down every row. Columns snap to it, and it opens on NOW.

• The grid now shows where you've been, not just where you're going —
three hours back on the 24-hour view, six on the 10-day — so you can
see whether conditions are building or laying down.

• Tide runs the full ten days instead of two, and high and low are
marked on the row. You can pick a different tide station if the
nearest one isn't where you fish.

• Barometric pressure added to the grid, and its trend now feeds the
  bite forecast.

• Seas and period are big numbers on a banded scale on both the home
screen and the forecast, so you can read them at a glance offshore.

• Your best window of the week now shows on the home screen.

• Grade colours rewritten so an F looks like an F. Ranking days by
  colour actually works now.

• Bigger layouts on iPad and Mac.

Fixed: the home screen and the forecast screen could disagree about the
same hour's grade. They now score the same reading.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-24

Fish ID just got a big upgrade:

• See whether your catch is legal to keep — size, season and bag limits now appear right on the ID result, before you log it
• Confirm or correct the species with one tap, and jump straight to the full species guide
• Larger, easier-to-read results with alternate species names
• Smoother photo zoom in your catch log
• Clearer catch hot-spot markers on your Patterns map
• Forecast now shows a pinned reading with trend for the hours ahead
• Renamed "Your fish" to "Your target species" throughout
• Bug fixes and stability improvements

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-20

Personal Bests, reimagined
Your trophies now live in a scrollable showcase on the home
screen, with the time of day, weather, and moon phase behind
every catch.

Sharing that works
The share sheet now opens reliably, and shared catches include
a link so friends can find ReelIntel.

Photo fixes
Catch photos load correctly from your device, and broken
thumbnails now show a clear message instead of a missing image.

Easier cropping
Tap anywhere on a photo to crop it. The crop box now starts
framed to the whole photo, with corners you can actually grab.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-17

No release notes.
