## What is Reeltone?

Reeltone turns your Jellyfin server into a proper iPhone music player — background playback that keeps going when you lock the phone, offline downloads, lock-screen and Control Center controls, AirPlay, and synced lyrics.

Point it at your server, sign in, and your whole library is in your pocket.

WHAT YOU GET
• True background audio — music keeps playing when you leave the app or lock your phone. No more silence when the screen turns off.
• Lock screen & Control Center — play, pause, skip, and scrub without opening the app. Album art on your lock screen.
• Offline downloads — save albums and tracks and play them with no connection, on a plane or underground.
• Synced lyrics — sing along line by line, pulled from your server or fetched automatically from LRCLIB when your server has none.
• AirPlay — send audio to HomePod, Apple TV, or any AirPlay speaker.
• Fast, native browsing — artists, albums, playlists, and search, with a library that loads instantly and works offline.
• A retro cassette-deck look — tape reels that spin as you listen and a waveform you can scrub.

REQUIREMENTS
Reeltone connects to your own Jellyfin server (jellyfin.org) — a free, open-source media server you host yourself. You'll need a server and an account on it. For lyrics, Jellyfin 10.9 or newer is recommended.

Reeltone is an independent client and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Jellyfin project.

• Skins: restyle the whole app with a theme you install yourself — colours, fonts, even the tape reels. Build one in your browser at reeltone.iagocavalcante.com and open it straight into the app.
• Music requests: search for an album your server doesn't have, tap request, and follow it as it arrives. Connect Lidarr in Settings to switch this on.
• Longer battery life while playing in the background — far fewer wake-ups with the screen off, and Now Playing stops polling once you look away.
