I didn’t even recognise myself in some of the pictures. You upload different photos of yourself to see yourself with different hairstyles. The only downside is that everything appears to be auto-generated. I would like to be able to see hairstyle x on photo y. And they won’t censor you like you were a child. Bye 👋🏻 ### 1/5 — Used to be amazing *2026-08-27, version 6.13.0* Have had lifetime subscription and access to Reface. Has left many conversations in tears for laughing. But lately have had issues with any pictures being not flagged as inappropriate. The last group is the pictures from the movie of Twins with Danny DeVito and Arnold standing next to each other. Have been told to delete and reinstall with no help. Now told that they are updating their program and try to upload different pictures. It wouldn’t be an issue if it didn’t seem to flag a majority of the photos as inappropriate the last few months. Haven’t tried to use it much because of this. I used the app to test different hair styles. The styles suggested are really unfashionable and the quality of rendering in the images is very poor. Huge regrets downloading this. I want my money back and to delete the images I uploaded. ### 1/5 — TOTAKL RIPOFF!!! Don’t Buy!!! *2026-08-23, version 6.13.0* I signed up for this thinking it would be interesting to try new styles. I tried it and found it to not be useful, but forgot to cancel it. My fault. When I noticed a fee hitting my card WEEKLY for 19.99 from Neocortex, I had to research to see what it was. They’ve been charging me $80/ month for something I wasn’t even using. It said there would be a weekly subscription fee, but they just didn’t bother to say how much. There is NO WAY I would agree to pay $20 a week for an app, even if I was using it all the time. That’s an insane amount of money for this silly app. They charged me $20/week for 10 months before I noticed it. That’s $800!!! Please don’t fall for this. ITS A TOTAL MONEY GRAB!!! ### 1/5 — This App is becoming a joke *2026-08-23, version 6.13.0* It seems like every update just makes this App worse. More than half the attempts to generate AI pictures fail. The ones that do go through often look ridiculous. And while I understand the need to put an brand watermark on AI generated images whoever thought that the best way to do that was to put an ugly black bar at the bottom of every image deserves to be fired. It ruins every final image and effectively makes the function useless. Might be time to delete if these stupidities continue. ### 1/5 — Do not waste your money *2026-08-23, version 6.13.0* Right after paying for the lifetime service they began rejecting headshots of friends to use. Claiming it was inappropriate. How can someone’s face be inappropriate? Every picture has to be disputed. This is a very bad app ### 1/5 — Billing Scam *2026-08-22, version 6.13.0* I thought I was paying $7.99 one time to help my daughter try new hairstyles. I’m embarrassed to see they were charging me $40/month for months before I realized. It doesn’t show up in Apple subscriptions, so I had no idea it was active. Even though I never used it past the first day, by the time I realized it, the team was “unable to help.” Beware of their hidden subscription process. It never mentioned the ongoing cost upfront. I also agree with other reviews that the “different” styles are hardly distinct from one another. Not helpful.
