## What is RefineSimple?

RefineSimple is the strength-training app for people who take it seriously — with a plan that adapts to your body instead of forcing you through a fixed scheme.

ADAPTIVE
Your week isn't a rigid calendar, it's a pool of sessions. Each morning your readiness score picks the best one for today: recovered → your heavy day, wiped → something lighter or a real rest day, no guilt. Underneath runs a real mesocycle with deload weeks and automatic progression that follows your sets.

EXPLAINABLE
No black box. Every recommendation names the strongest reason with a number — "HRV below baseline, sleep −21% → less volume today." You always understand why the app suggests something.

YOU STAY IN CONTROL
The app never says "don't train." It shows you why it recommends an adjustment today — accept or keep the original plan, one tap.

READINESS THAT'S YOURS
Your readiness score comes from HRV, sleep, resting heart rate and training load, straight from Apple Health. Instead of generic numbers, the app learns your personal typical range, shows the real trend and a 14-day history — reconstructed on first launch.

YOUR AI COACH
A coach that knows your recent sessions, your readiness score and every set you've logged — and answers based on them. It swaps an exercise when a joint acts up, cuts volume when needed, and explains its decisions. No motivational fluff.

PROGRESS, HONESTLY COUNTED
Automatic PR detection via estimated 1RM — a rep PR counts too (100 kg × 8 instead of × 5). e1RM trend per exercise, tonnage and volume per muscle group against science-based landmarks.

No nutrition tracking, no social features, no fluff. Just intelligent strength training that adapts to you.

RefineSimple Pro unlocks the AI coach and all workouts.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.1 — 2026-07-21

The plan generator got an upgrade:

- Fresher plans: the generator now draws on all 207 exercises — every generation rotates exercises, only your main lifts stay fixed as progression anchors.
- Swap exercises: tap any exercise in your plan and swap it for one of three suggestions or any alternative for the same muscle group — applies to all open sessions, your history stays untouched.
- Muscle focus now really works: "Emphasize" adds matching exercises (e.g. core), "Strongly reduce" removes isolation work entirely.
- Choose your plan length: 4–10 weeks, right when generating.
- Mass & cut: main lifts now in the classic 8–12 rep range.
- Reconnect Apple Health: new iPhone? Profile → App → Apple Health checks the connection and re-requests permissions.
- Fixes: muscle heatmap updates right after your session, "Apply" on the set target fills in all values, the coach input field stays visible above the keyboard.

### 1.5 — 2026-07-15

Your training, explained more honestly — the big Today tab update:

- New readiness ring: its color shows your state at a glance — amber (recovery needed) through blue to mint (optimal). Your personal typical range sits right on the ring, with a crown when you're above it.
- The strongest driver now sits on the card with its measurement: "HRV 41 ms (avg 52) is pulling you down today" instead of vague claims. No measurements? We say so — default values are marked as such.
- "Reduced volume" is now behavior, not text: when the app recommends less on a low-readiness day, your session actually starts with reduced set targets — tap "Original plan" to switch back anytime.
- Session preview: tap a session in the week strip to see exercises and targets before you start.
- New onboarding: tell us where you train — your first plan matches your equipment from day one.
- A cleaner Today tab, the rest timer now survives closing the session view, plus many small fixes.

### 1.3 — 2026-07-14

A much stronger coach: it now sees your weekly volume per muscle group, your current best lifts and your readiness history — and it calls out stalled exercises instead of just agreeing with you. New weekly review: at the start of the week the coach sums up the last one and tells you what matters next. Plus keyboard and action-card fixes in the chat, and backend security hardening.

### 1.2.3 — 2026-07-11

New: Muscle Overview. Tap the muscle heatmap to see at a glance which muscle groups you've already hit this week — and which are still open. Anatomical front and back view, with your weekly volume per group below.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-07-10

New: You can now try the AI coach for free — ask it a few questions about your plan, readiness, or technique before deciding on Pro.
Plus: the training plan view is smooth again (no more freezing), a more stable onboarding, and lots of small refinements.
