## What is Reflectar?

Normal photos are boring. Reflectar turns yours into keepsakes worth sharing.

An AI photo and video editor built around one idea: the picture you already have is more interesting than you think. Upload it and Reflectar writes an original poem from what it actually sees, repaints the whole scene ten different ways, scores it with music you compose, and hands you a keepsake nobody else has.

It is not a filter and it is not a template. Every one is written from your photo, and no two come out the same.

START FROM ANYTHING
- Upload a photo you already have, from your library or from Files.
- Upload a short video or a Live Photo, and your keepsake moves.
- Or open AR mode and catch a moment live, with the words drifting in the scene in front of you.

YOUR POEM, YOUR VOICE
Choose how it speaks: Haiku, Rhyme, Olde English, Film Noir, Gratitude, Wonder, Zen Koan or Romantic. The same photo sounds completely different in each one.

You choose the lines, too. They drift in three at a time, you keep the one you like, and the poem builds as you go.

MAKE IT YOURS
- Drag every line exactly where it belongs.
- Fonts, colors, sizes, and liquid glass behind the words.
- Photo filters to set the mood.
- Effects that move: hearts, stars, leaves, sakura, dandelion, rain, snow and wind.
- An instant-camera frame, or the place and time you made it.

THE STUDIO
- Repaint the whole scene: Anime, Watercolor, Ink wash, Pastel, Woodblock, Cartoon, Comic, Neon, 3D or Vintage.
- Compose an original music track for your Reflectar, yours to reuse on any other.
- Export a still, or a video that plays your music with the effects in motion.

MADE TO BE SHARED
Save to Photos, or send it straight out to TikTok, Instagram, Messages, or anywhere else on your phone. A live Reflectar shares as video, with your music and your effects still moving.

YOUR OWN KEEPSAKES
Every keepsake you make is kept in your private album, on your device and backed up to your own iCloud. Come back and re-edit any of them, any time.

REFLECTAR+
Every capture free, more credits each month, the full set of themes, and dark mode.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No sign-up, no account, no personal details. Your Reflectars live on your device and your own iCloud, never our servers. Usage data is anonymous and never linked to you, and you can delete everything any time.

A FEW WORDS ON CREDITS
Making a Reflectar uses a credit or two, and the studio extras use credits too. Your free credits top back up every month, and you can buy more or unlock Reflectar+ whenever you like.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 2.0 — 2026-09-14

You can now start from a photo you already have.

UPLOAD ANYTHING
Pick a photo from your library or from Files, and Reflectar writes a poem from it exactly as it does through the camera. Short videos and Live Photos work too: choose your three seconds, choose the frame your poem is written from, and your keepsake moves.

CHOOSE HOW YOUR MUSIC SOUNDS
Composing a track now asks for the mood first: Serene, Tender, Cute, Lively, Cinematic or Dreamy. A photo of your kids playing now sounds nothing like a photo of a still lake.

TWO NEW EFFECTS
Hearts and stars, drifting and twinkling over your Reflectar.

ALSO IN THIS UPDATE
- A shared video now loops for the whole length of your music, instead of cutting the track short.
- Your poem language is a proper picker now, with more languages on the way.
- Live Reflectars open ready to play, so a moving keepsake stays a moving keepsake when you save and share it.
- A pile of smaller fixes across poem selection and the studio.

Thank you for reflecting with us.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-18

New ways to hear your world, and new ways to see it.

Two new poem voices: Romantic, for the moments you want to keep with someone, and Wonder, for when something ordinary turns out to be astonishing.

Five new ways to restyle a scene: Cartoon, Comic, Neon, 3D and Vintage. Restyling is sharper across the board, too.

Your poem words now guide you back if they drift out of view in AR, and saving to Photos from your album lets you keep the video or a still.

Thank you for reflecting with us.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-06

1.0.1
- Saving to Photos now lets you choose a moving video or a still photo, so a live Reflectar keeps its motion and music.
- Plus a few small fixes and refinements.

Thank you for being one of the first to reflect with us.

### 1.0 — 2026-07-02
