If this was in dark mode and with a different font I’d love it. ### 2/5 — No information on papers *2026-02-06* Every day the pages are blank. I have to uninstall and then reinstall. Poor show indeed. ### 2/5 — App functions poorly *2026-01-07* The reflections are so good but the technology of the app is poor. Like others I also get messages to say my subscription has expired, or I am faced with a blank page. Reinstalling the app is only a temporary fix. Content is so good and having an app is such a great support, but please make it work. ### 2/5 — Now broken *2025-10-31* I’ve been using this for years, putting up with the fact that the link to the Bible readings and people info never works for more than a day. But now (since the Advent update) it crashes every time I try and use it. One minor gripe: the links to the authors seem to have stopped working. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but that hasn’t worked. ### 4/5 — Missing updates for November not available *2024-11-30, version 1.8.10* I’ve tried many times to update the missing reflections for the last week of November which states that they’re available to no avail. Also, I’m fed up with having to close the banner that tells me my renewal date daily throughout the year. I renew my subscription annually but these faults are not making it a good app. It’s gone down in my estimation. Cleric ### 2/5 — Glitchy in 2024 so be cautious *2024-09-01* This app has always seemed to work well but more recently it has developed some glitchy problems which has meant I will go back to buying the book. The subscription process has not work for me on two occasions - trying to restore a previous purchase (after buying a new phone) and today I purchased a 12-month subscription only to see that I remained with the free trial. Thankfully Apple were able to help with a refund. There are also some basic mistakes in the text. Take Tuesday 3 Sept 2024. Reflection on [blank] by… Grammatical errors and font gaps. ### 2/5 — Fails to function smoothly *2022-06-04* I have used the paper version of ‘Reflections’ for a number of years, and have found it useful. I’d hoped for an equally satisfactory experience from the app. It’s a shame, then, that there are so many irritations. Firstly, the app intermittently seems to lose my subscription, so telling me that I am on the last reading. I can’t move on to the next day or use the table of contents to look further ahead. If I delete and re- install, the problem is solved briefly but not permanently. My most recent installation, today, seems to have lost the link to the Bible reading. The message displayed is that the link to Safari is broken. So frustrating! I’ve been using daily for well over a year now. Thoughtful, helpful reflections, and the biblical text does not rely on an external browser. My only criticism is that the prayers are written archaically, with split infinitives and grammar that is generally circuitous and hard to access. Can you please write them in a normal way? Finally, can we please have a dark mode for the reflections to supplement the dark mode in the scripture window? ### 4/5 — Contemplation but help for newbie *2020-01-21* I like this app - I’m not a practicing “anything” or a bible-basher and was curious after an advert appeared on my Facebook feed. I really like the thoughtfulness of the approach to the bible, but could really do with a glossary section to help me understand some key Christian terms used. I will google for now, but it would be nice to have such terms hyperlinked within the app. Overall, it’s helped me look at the bible in a new way and reflect on deeper meanings without all the smoke and mirrors. ### 4/5 — Font Change *2018-11-14* Why has the font been reduced in the latest update. It seems to have got a lot smaller, and I can’t see anything in settings to bring it up. Have contacted the developers for help and have tried all they have asked and it’s still not working. I get the impression they think it’s me who is doing something wrong. So beware. You may not get anything for your money. Not good for a Christian publication. ### 1/5 — June of 2023 is the last date? *2024-10-27* I just purchased a one year subscription, only to find out that the reflections ended in June of 2023. Is there a way to update this? Otherwise I need to get a refund. I deleted the app and redownloaded it. If I want to re-subscribe, I go to the subscription page, but down it spins endlessly saying it’s downloading content. But the spinning never stops. It’s stuck there until I close the page. Sadly the latest update has gone wrong, and it now crashes whenever I try to open it. The app now requires a newer IOS and only allows me to download an older version, which cuts me off after a trial subscription period. Please can you fix this or refund the subscription. Only improvement would be to have verses within the app (Can't access verses within the app, so web access is required). There is also has a full morning prayer option which can be turned off and on in the settings. I brought the book but wanted something smaller. Hit twitter to ask what others used and this came back as a great recommendation.
