More quotes should be available *2026-08-19, version 5.0.4* I absolutely love this app! It’s very helpful, and helps relieve stress. Although, I don’t understand why so many quote themes are unavailable. I use a few of the themes and they have helped me to stay motivated and to deal with anxiety better, but there are a lot of things, like dealing with break-ups, stress, and more that shouldn’t have to be paid for. If you made this app to help with this stuff, then the resources should be available to all. This app has really helped me recognize my mental health patterns and become more self-aware. Admittedly I use it inconsistently but the daily check-ins & reading my old ones help me become more stable whenever I’m in an unstable time. The tags you can use on each entry is super helpful. Sometimes I’m not sure what else to say but “Ugh” “Meh” but having the tags I can explain more what I mean without actually having to. I purchased it in 2020 but for some reason I still get the pop ups every time I open the app telling me to upgrade. I even tried repurchasing the upgrade but the pop up remained. It’s discriminatory, harmful, and the opposite of what a journal touting mental health support should be aiming for. But after purchasing, none of the premium features were unlocked. It just kept telling me I had to upgrade to premium to access them. I ended up emailing customer their customer service with screen shots proving that I did subscribe but was still not gaining access to the features. I got no response. This was a year ago and I’ve barely touched the app since. I reported the charge as fraud to get my money back since I never heard anything back. I’m writing this review now because I recently opened the app and was prompted once again to upgrade to premium. I still have no reply to my email a year later. ### 1/5 — Weird Anti Vaxxer quote *2026-01-23, version 4.15.0* I got a quote from the general category from Jenny McCarthy who said she looks at autism like a bus accident, and that you don’t become cured but can recover. I thought the quote was a bit weird so I did some research. After looking her up, I found out she herself doesn’t have autism, but her son does, and she promotes the idea that vaccines cause autism. I’ve had this app for a few years and have gotten a few weird quotes, but this is the one that’s making me delete it. I look for inspiration or funny quotes, not weird anti vaxxer opinions. I know I’m just one person and my one uninstall doesn’t matter, but I just thought I’d share. ### 1/5 — Nothing *2025-12-29, version 4.15.0* Waste of money ### 1/5 — “Could not sign in for an unknown reason.” *2025-12-02, version 4.15.0* I was going to wait some more till I trusted this app and because I usually don’t write reviews. This could not wait—especially after membership purchase. I have been using this smart journal fine until today. I was really starting to use this more and about to recommend. Oh the disappointment. I read there is a new update, but has made the login for returning users bricked. I was randomly logged out and I didn’t even know it but the journal and quotes to me to the app fine. Additionally I went to see the developer website and support help. It’s a bad joke: the submit button is fake! I can’t even contact the support team on their own official support website looking cool and all, even mentioned here. IDK how others are having positive exp. still. ### 1/5 — Thievery *2025-11-30, version 4.14.5* Thievery I once was a big fan of this app — in fact, all the apps from this developer. Then they got greedy. Their Growth Bundle provided reasonable pricing for all of their apps and I've been a subscriber for five years. But my recently-renewed subscription is no longer active in any but one of the 10 apps I use — and I'm being gouged to the tune of $340+ every year if I want to continue using them. Developer support is nonexistent; my email messages are being ignored. Given the plethora of reasonably-priced apps that do what this app does, you're better off looking someplace else.
