My only complaint is that there isn’t more to enjoy! I would love to see a path (or several paths) created for Lord Sutton, or that unnamed Gentleman who crops up every so often. I have replayed several times and every storyline is excellent and unique. The side plots are optional, but equally engaging. I hope more content is added to answer my burning questions, such as “what the letter was about in the opening scene?” I also hope more love interests can be added soon to pique my interest once more. I feel like I am a character in Jane Austen’s world, and it’s like I’m in a regency movie. The nicknames don’t work, but I had an idea about the player’s character features. You know how you can choose the first name and last name before you start the story, maybe the player could also choose their character’s hair color and eye color as well. It could give the player’s character more of a description. I really hope that there’s more updates for the game in the near future, it’s too much of a good interactive app to give up on. There’s no other game like it! Especially one that is set in the Regency era. I mean look at all the fantastic reviews this app has! I must have played it over a hundred times with each suitor. As much as I love it, it’s beginning to get too repetitive. We should also have Lord Sutton as a potential suitor option as well, and perhaps other new characters. What about the main character’s estranged brother, and her aunt that lives in London? Everybody that I know who played this game have been patiently (starting to get frustrated) waiting for YEARS for new updates. If you love Jane Austin, or even just have a fancy for pretty gentlemen and fantastic storylines, you must get this!! I played this game morning to night to morning again and had no complaints. Thoroughly made me fall in love, I especially loved the Ashcroft family and Lord fat cat. Amazing writing, not just a “dating simulator” and will genuinely make you fall in love with the characters, the only think I can say is I would have loved to continue playing as my character in married life or my engagement 🖤 ### 4/5 — So much potential *2021-07-26, version 2.1.2* Despite its manifold problems, I have played this again and again. I have truly gotten my money’s worth out of it. However, there are many problems I would like to see addressed. Mr Digby- I LIKE Mr Digby. I think we should be able to choose him as a love match. Also, he says you have disgraced yourself even when you have not, in any way, disgraced yourself, by means of rejecting Mr Curtis and Mr Ashcroft at the first opportunity. Little variation- the conversations are too long to read them through every play through, and there is remarkably little variation between playthroughs. Somehow, the game overcomes it- I’ve played it through at least 10 times, very very likely more- but imagine how excellent it would be if it were different. Awkward illustrations- the backgrounds look childish, Mary Earlwood’s expressions look quite bad, and Mr Curtis is almost grotesque. Tom- I believe, due to the little hints spread throughout your dialogue options, that you should be able to steal Tom away from Phoebe. It’s just part of games like this- the more suitors, the more outrageous, the better. Mary’s dead end- what of her regard for the schoolteacher? I can find no ending to it. Friendships- friendships are never damaged, nor are opportunities lost or changed, whether you are amiable or completely cruel. You can berate Mr Curtis, for example, at every turn, except for the pivotal points, and he will come back for more- which is certainly not in his character. Female friendships- female friendships are not adequately represented in the game. I would like to see more females, more well rounded. Needlework dead end- if you do not put your first point on needlework, in my experience, the entire game ends immediately, with no further opportunities. Thinks I think could improve the game- Money system- buying this or that, collecting mechanic, etc Different dialogue options Dynamic friendships Clearer parameters to gain the character achievements There is more I could say, but this is all for now. I will even buy Mr Graham’s expansion as soon as I’m able! ### 5/5 — Well worth it *2021-07-05, version 2.1.2* If you are a Jane Austen fan or just into the regency era I recommend!! The routes and characters are all very well written. The only complaint I have is that there is no official route for Lord Sutton. However I hear they plan on releasing a sequel which will feature his route in the future! I can’t wait! I find some of these works are still offensive. You only get two male characters unless you pay another fiver for a 3rd character. I really like the idea of this game and I liked where it was going. However I do think there needs to be more characters, more story, more freedom and more choices to make it worth the money. There are free games that are much for immersive. Also there doesn’t seem to be any lgbtq+ options? I’m a heterosexual female and I still noticed! Please add more to this game to make it worth it, removed the ‘paid’ option for Mr Graham and add in all new characters. If people want to pay for extra side story’s and extras they can but at least make the rest of the game worth the fiver. And I have played it every single year since. It’s my go-to game and if they ever get rid of it, I will die. Okay, so maybe it’s not that dramatic—but it feels like it. This is my favorite game.
