Can we get an upgrade? *2026-01-01* Love this game and love the companion app. Can we get an upgrade that allows you to use it alongside legacy. I don’t know how feasible that would be considering the depth of legacy without spoiling future missions. But currently on the first one and is able to use it well enough. I just liked having the quick math and result of heal etc done. Also sorting cards by number or suit, and an undo button. With all of these changes the app could be great and an instant 5 stars. ### 4/5 — Could use some quality of live improvements *2024-08-03* This is a great puzzle game that you can play with a simple deck of cards. The solo game is also well done and worth the money, but it’s missing some basic quality of life features to make it truly great. For example, being able to continue a game that you started is a basic feature that this is missing. If you stay away from the game long enough and the app restarts itself, you also need to start your game from scratch. It would also be great to be able to sort the cards in your hand by rank or suit. ### 4/5 — Brilliant *2024-04-22, version 1.9* This is brilliant, both as a companion app when playing the physical game, and as the solo game itself. I’m still learning it. However I would like to be “graded” on how I am doing besides defeat. I would like to know if I got further this time than last time. You could implement some sort of counting of the Enemy cards that we were unable to destroy before the defeat. I have yet to win. But it doesn’t stop me from playing. I just would like to know how well I did with regard to my prior scores. Thank you for considering ### 5/5 — Great so far. *2022-07-25, version 1.5* I’m having great fun with the solo game that comes with this App’ which is a steal at £2.49 , but I haven’t tried to use it as a companion yet as I am still waiting for the cards to arrive from Zatu. Despite some complaints from other reviewers I haven’t experienced any connectivity issues. I am using an IPhone 8 which although still good, isn’t exactly cutting edge these days. I wish to add that with regard to the solo game that a “ pause” facility is required. There is nothing worse than being seconds away from one’s first “ Gold victory “ when the phone rings and you lose the game. ### 4/5 — Not bad *2022-07-19* Good adaptation, but in the solo game, you can’t take the yield action. I’d like to see them fix that. Otherwise, good game. ### 5/5 — Great game and good app *2022-05-28* Regicide is an amazingly good game and the app is a great way to play it solo. I haven’t used the app to track a multiplayer game yet, but for the solo play alone the app is worthwhile. ### 5/5 — An ingenious, simple game but limited room for growth *2022-01-16* This game is ingenious. They made a new (and good!) game out of a standard 52-card deck of cards. Moreover, they harnessed and elevated the royal court theme inherent to the cards’ design by crafting a simple story around the objective of the game. I literally found myself wondering if this was somehow the original card game and I just never heard of it. The minimalist renaissance music and art is truly excellent. I gave the game 5 stars for its low price and perfect form, but your mileage with replay-ability will vary. The solo game is appropriately difficult, but once you beat it, incentives to replay drop off markedly and I can’t think of ways to improve this dynamic. The reason why I give it 1 star instead of 5 is because the developer has chosen to lock the solo play and charge extra for it. Why not state it in the description in the App Store or just charge the full amount and have it unlocked. I don’t want to have to type in the exact combination of cards I play every round, it’s way too many button presses to do anything. Having to select “no aces” every time is infuriating! And I don’t want to pass my phone around the table for everyone to log their turns- this is a light card game! Devs, if you’re reading this, please- implement a play option that is just a manual life tracker. Look at the Code Inversion “Star Realms Authority Tracker” app- it’s an ugly, buggy mess which has banner ads but it’s easy to actually use. I often use it to play regicide bc it’s infinitely more usable than this app! Your app is pretty and obviously a bunch of work went into it, but all I need is an easy way to keep track of monarch health, none of this other faff. ### 2/5 — Can’t open the app *2022-01-15, version 1.2* It crashes immediately after I open it. The jester button is infinite, and per game it should know whether you used it twice. Also when killing the enemy exactly you should have it tell you where to put it. “Discard/Draw pile” Lastly I would create a guided play for those who aren’t familiar with the game, or wanting hints or tips. Ps : special mention to sketchgoblin, the art is very nice and also helps a lot for the immersion ### 5/5 — Just what I needed *2025-01-03* My brother got me addicted to this game, we play it with friends and family at most gatherings and this companion app is perfect! It makes the game way more fun to play as the whole group isn’t pausing to do math between every round. The graphics are quite cute and the thematic music is fun! I randomly found it, and got the app for the solo experience, which is a very, very fair price. I happily support developers who monetize fairly with no ads or crazy IAP. The design aesthetic is what drew me in. Also that it’s a quick-play solo experience, perfect for a work break. It’s easy to learn, and the UI and app function are flawless. The whole concept and gameplay are AWESOME. One of the most clever ideas for solitaire I’ve come across. 50 stars for that alone! Another 50 for the artwork and how smoothly it plays. The file size is huge, I’m not sure why, I’d usually bypass on such a huge file, but it’s worth how good the game is. It’s also good on battery. That said, I thought the card game Friday was hard. This seems harder. I’ve beat Friday several times. I can’t beat this. So far I’ve never made it past the Queens to fight the Kings. I’ve watched videos online, so I know I’m approaching the play correctly, but I guess things haven’t lined up right yet. Still, it’s quick to play, and enjoyable, so I’ll stick with it, for now at least. I’d like to beat it at least once! I highly recommend this game. It’s definitely addictive. But beware you are going to lose constantly, and that win might be elusive. But if you do win, that will feel amazing! ### 5/5 — Hidden Value *2023-11-17* This brings hidden value to any deck pf playing cards tucked away. Of course there’s solitaire and its ilk, but this is TACTICAL solitaire. The flavor unearthed from mundane jacks, jokers, 2’s through 10’s will have looking at playing cards in a whole new light. ### 5/5 — Such a clever and crisp game *2023-09-16* I discovered this game only weeks ago and I’ve been hooked and pushing it to anyone who would listen. Props to everyone involved. Got the solo purchase and a few sets of cards to further support the effort and they are great. Only one nitpick on the companion app: I wish orientation could rotate to either of the two sides. Currently I have to rotate the phone to what the app picked as the correct side.
