This app would be amazing for quickly calculating the amount of local a surgeon can give after a peripheral block….. but… it only calculates based off of patients weight and doesn’t take into account the max dose of local anesthetics. For example, I put a 68kg pt into the calculator and it told me I could give 68ml of 1% lidocaine with Epinephrine. This is 680mg of lidocaine. The max allowable dose of lidocaine with epinephrine for any patient should be 500mg.

This is a potentially dangerous oversight but the app would be absolutely perfect if this is factored for.

I love this app, but it doesn’t take into account the standard max dose of any of the local anesthetics. For instance, for a 200kg pt, the calculator states the max dose of Bupivicaine is 400mg.

I absolutely love this app. It’s a great resource to access just prior to performing a block. The information is succinct and easy to navigate. My only complaint is newer blocks such as ESPB or PENG are not featured on the app.

Superficial cervical plexus
PECS 1/2
Serratus
Erector Spinae
QL
Ilioinguinal-Iliohypogastric
iPACK
Transgluteal and Subgluteal Sciatic 
Ankle

The app is a perfect phone reference for upper and lower extremity blocks. Clear diagrams and videos. The local anesthetic calculator is really nicely done
