Small price to pay for peace of mind. Prayers were pushed on me by others for a long time, which put me off them. I arrived back to them years later, arisen from my own desire for it and was amazed. If you're curious about it, don't be put off by extreme views or what a template of a "good" Sikh is or let these ideas stop you from searching for peace of mind, as I did. I simply do not adhere to every teaching or tenet of my faith, but try to not let this increase the gap between me and my creator. I believe these prayers are a gift, a grace. For us to use, if we'd like.
