Only thing I’d complain abt is sometime u get locked into region and just have to give up on that life to get new cards in the next one but that might just be purposeful game design. Nothing worked. Not even exiting the app fixes it. It is stuck like that. ### 3/5 — Really really fun when it works *2025-07-17* This game is very fun and addictive and has good mechanics despite sometimes scoring cards in terms of you getting closer to dying or not being weird, but its bugs have made me delete and redownload the game twice. The first being the traveling bug which another reviewer spoke about which wouldn’t let you play the game after you picked the travel option. The second was when a key character who died kept interacting with us and the emperor who resigned kept getting gifts. I also stopped being able to complete quests and got stuck doing the same battle. ### 3/5 — Repetitive *2025-06-20, version 1.0.3834* Exciting at first, but horribly repetitive and wasn’t able to keep me motivated to finish. Love the storyline and added aspects to make it different from the other reigns, but doesn’t particularly stand out. You just don’t make a mobile device app that announces ‘OPENING TRACKER’ when you start up a game, even if it is just loading screen flavour. UPDATE: back already fam, I can’t say I love the text box styling that goes with the swipe mechanic. Having it fly out from the opposite side of the screen is pretty disorienting. Like, is this the option I’m choosing, or what I’m about to miss out on? I don’t think having it fly out from the same side of the screen you’re swiping to would be LESS obvious, would it? ### 4/5 — Pretty good! *2025-01-08* I feel like they really honed in the formula in this iteration. The RNG’s probably the best in this version. storyline’s feel fleshed out, but doesn’t feel repetitive or forced like it does in her Majesty. The stats move just right, it doesn’t feel too slow or too drastic I mostly really appreciate the expanded politics, negotiations, allyships, war, conquering land. It’s interesting to meet different kinds of people from all over the map, and it’s a lot more rewarding to work your way up to royalty, rather than having it just handed to you. Pushing forward with my agendas keeps me coming back My only real complaint is the synaptic time-travelling or whatever storyline. To be blunt, I think it’s kind of dumb. Im sorry I don’t understand how we can’t suspend our disbelief that we’re just some person in ancient China, yet time travel is supposed to make more sense. It’s annoying, unnecessary, and it could’ve easily done without it. Luckily it’s easy to skim over But! Overall, I like this game. I appreciate how every decision you make matters. It’s fun, the art is gorgeous. However, at a certain point it gave me the choice to “travel somewhere.” The game then crashed and will now only load a blank screen when I try to load my game. ### 4/5 — Wildly fun but possible glitch *2024-09-30* I have thoroughly enjoyed playing through this game and I still have so much to go! I play it ever night before bed and always end up staying up at too late as a result haha. That being said, I’ve grown pretty frustrated with what I believe is a pretty serious glitch. When prompted to “travel anywhere” (as in the game does not have a choice of traveling to a specific region) if you select that option, the screen becomes a blank cream color permanently, no longer giving you any choices whatsoever. The only fix I’ve found is deleting the app, redownloading it, and then having to play through the entire game again. This is my second time downloading the game as a result of this glitch and it just happened again. I’m fairly upset. All in all, the game is incredibly fun. I love all the reigns games. ### 4/5 — A Chinese Culture Story Adventure *2024-08-20* Immerse yourself in Chinese culture and history in an interesting story based game for NETFLIX members. The biggest flaw in the game is the multiplayer function which never seems to have enough players to get a real time game match. The story takes many tries and numerous deaths to complete. Although it can get repetitive, there is enough variance to warrant a play though. I really enjoy the unique combat and intriguing dialogue. However there are a few nitpicks I have here and there. First off, am I playing as a male or a female character? Because in the same run it mentioned the that I was a beautiful woman but also a man in need of a wife. Also it seems strange to me how if people like you too much they’ll burn your house down and kill you. How does that happen? Being too wise will also get you killed. So I have to do and say stupid things every once in a while or they’ll crucify me for no reason. And there's so many ways to do that.. This game achieves that by making every single choice you make matter. Drastically. From choosing factions and helping the people to starting wars and taking new land Reigns has you both on the commoners roads and in King/Queens chair. THE ONLY THING I'd just like to mentions to the creators is that a note section would be nice. I'm an aloof person and I read these names and attributes to these future characters as ways to help influence my future but i don't have a place to toggle to for note keeping. Yes... If you don’t like reading, don’t do it This is a very story based game and it is built off the pure fact that you need to read along. The other mechanic is the battling, but I have played for a while now and you only battle a tiny bit. But the battle is turn based so quite simple. 2. If you’ve played the others, get it. Apart from the mechanic, the story completely differs. 3.
