It does hide the “Use app” button, but only visually. If you tap the area it’s at, you still go to the app store. I downloaded this app mostly to avoid those annoying redirects from accidentally tapping that button. It also introduces a new bug with Reddit that prevents scrolling from working until you tap something on the page. Basically it removed a visual annoyance, but didn’t improve usage in my case. Actually made it a bit more annoying, sadly. ### 3/5 — Hit or Miss… *2022-11-26* Ad-blocking is a constant cat and mouse game where Developers need to make changes frequently. Rekt is a paid app, and you’re at the mercy of the Dev to constantly update it. However, I’ve found that the most stubborn sites break Rekt. Twitter and Reddit are an example. There should be an easier way to contact support directly. ### 3/5 — Sometimes freezes up safari *2021-11-12* Blocks the open app banner but I have noticed that occasionally it will prevent you from scrolling or clicking any links. I have found a work around by opening and closing the drop down menu in the top right. **Developer response:** Reddit, unfortunately, does not let you view subreddits if you’re not logged in. It simply shows a dummy background so there’s nothing Rekt can do here to unblock it, sorry. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2021-10-31* Save your money **Developer response:** Sorry you feel this way, mate. Instagram runs A/B tests to show you different banners most of the times and it’s likely a new banner type is tripping Rekt up. Thanks again! ### 1/5 — Garbage *2021-10-31* I got this to block websites from asking me to use their App. However, I still get those pop-ups for many sites. I’m not sure if every website has to be manually added, but regardless it does make more to be desired. Additionally, I use Google News and still get AMP URLs instead of the site’s URL. I’ll update my review someday when this App actually does what I paid for it to do. Get AMPlosion instead and Unsmartifier, they’re both way better and actually work. And to the developer, yes it was all setup correctly with all of the correct permissions. You may have 1,000s of happy users, but let’s not forget you posted on Reddit and have many away. I’m a user who is telling you it doesn’t work and therefore I’m not happy. AMPlosion works flawlessly. **Developer response:** Hey there! Thanks for the feedback. Can you please confirm Rekt has been enabled and has been given the required permissions? We have a few thousand happy users at the moment and the initial setup always seems to cause the most confusion.
