It is genuinely a great concept and sets it apart from others. I’ve completed over 50 Relays so far and have never had a single issue with any of the companies (at least not serious.) Everything on that side is usually smooth and reliable. That said, I gave it 4 stars because the app itself can be a bit glitchy at times (occasional bugs), and it would really benefit from some improvements. For truck drivers! It gives us the Freedom basically to do what when where and how which is highly uncommon in the trucking industry! Kudos and two thumbs up, keep up the great work Relay! No more forced dispatch. I’ve been driving for the same customer for a few months now and they ask me where I want to go, how long do I want to stay out, and if the pay works for me. Good luck trying that with another carrier. Just a few small carriers hard to understand what they say . Rediculous low rates and misleading information. But here’s the issue: after I submitted everything, the system told me they aren’t available in my location. Once the application determined my location, I couldn’t move forward—yet I had already given them my personal information. If I had known that in advance, I wouldn’t have provided it. My concern now is: how will my information be used? What’s needed: verify a user’s location before requiring them to complete personal data fields. ### 1/5 — Don’t get unless you live in CA *2025-08-20, version 1.1.64* You’ll spend over $100 to get on their board only to realize there is nothing available even close to you, ever. Forget about calling and leaving a message, you’ll just be ignored, and they’re charging you for this every month. If you’re in the LA, or OC areas, there is one, maybe two carriers and that work is snatched up quickly, the minority of the work is in the inland empire and I don’t want to commute 30-40 mile one way for work. I tried reaching out to a tech support but it wasn’t effective. Relay this is atrocious as I’ve been waiting to at least finish up the other required process to get started. Either refund my money or fix the problem. At least, answer my email sent. #Ridiculous ### 1/5 — Scam *2023-08-21, version 1.1.54* Do not waste your time on these jokers. if you already have your medical card, they want you to pay for another drug screen. They should pay for it if they want it. Typical w2 going rate for a local CDL driver is now 32-37$ PH and going up close to $50. That is w2 rate. For 1099, add 35% to that hourly rate.
