## What is Relay Shift Tracker?

Relay is a sleep tracker built for the newborn period — when two parents are taking shifts overnight and need to know who's slept, who hasn't, and who should take the next long block.

Tap once to start a sleep session. Tap again to end it. That's it.

WHAT'S ON THE SCREEN

• A live "Now" view showing who's currently sleeping and for how long
• A vertical timeline of the last 7 days, with each parent in their own lane
• Last-24h and last-48h totals for each parent
• A home-screen widget showing sleep debt at a glance

WHAT'S NOT ON THE SCREEN

• No streaks, badges, or scores
• No coaching messages or "great job!" notifications
• No turn-taking math or whose-turn-is-it tracking
• No alarms, no push notifications
• No social features, no leaderboards
• No account, no sign-in

THE PHILOSOPHY

Sleep is recovery. Relay tracks who slept, not who's "winning." The math is honest — the deficit is the deficit. The longer block tonight goes to whoever is more depleted. No turn-taking quotas.

The plan is a starting place, not a verdict. Deviation is expected. Nothing is being tracked or evaluated against you.

DESIGNED FOR 3 AM

Warm palette, large numbers, minimal taps. Relay is meant to be glanced at half-conscious in a dark room. The home-screen widget means you often won't need to open the app at all.

WHO IT'S FOR

Two-parent households in the first months after a newborn arrives, where both parents are sharing overnight care. If you're trying to fairly distribute sleep so neither parent burns out, Relay shows you the data you need to make that call.

PRIVACY

All data is stored locally on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no third-party SDKs, no advertising, no server. Relay does not phone home.
