### 4/5 — Stopped working

*2025-11-08*

The Relentless app started off fantastic, smart AI workouts, intuitive design, and I genuinely enjoyed using it daily. But for the past month, it’s completely stopped working. Workouts don’t load, it just times out every time.

I reached out to customer support and was shocked by how rude and unhelpful they were. I was told a “ticket had been raised,” but weeks later I’ve heard absolutely nothing back. For a paid app, that’s unacceptable.

It’s such a shame because this could have been an incredible tool, but right now it’s completely unusable and the service is appalling. Don’t waste your money until they fix it.

### 3/5 — Falls short .

*2025-08-19*

Great premise but fails to deliver on in app adaptability. The AI element doesn’t seem to be as intuitive as it can be. There are now better versions of this type of app around.
Also - updates take far far too long to complete

### 5/5 — Best Fitness App For Injury

*2025-07-28*

I have a chronic illness and this takes me injuries into account and removes actions that’s hurt me, while still giving me an awesome training session. I’m about to make a vlog series about it. It’s great!

### 2/5 — Ridiculously Expensive For What It Does

*2025-07-12, version 3.18.5*

The app is polished and I know as a trained individual that the programs and periodization are based on real working science. However, we all know that for all fitness endeavor to succeed, consistency is key and that would mean an annual subscription would be most ideal. The pricing though is criminally exorbitant for the value it provides. Yes it is well made, but it is superficially priced way above its competitors which are just as good ~ Fitbod, Liftin’, Hevy, Strong, Sheiko, Juggernaut etc. I would want to stick to this but sadly that price is a no brainer is no.

### 5/5 — Well worth the $

*2025-02-06*

I was skeptical at first, it being AI and coming from a bodybuilding background. Every workout is tailored to you and is as challenging as you want to make it. My leg and core strength have gone through the roof using this app and I love that it’s always a different workout. It really is a personal trainer. If you’re bored of the same routines give it a try.

### 5/5 — Do it

*2025-02-03*

Get this app. It’s so easy to use and the workouts are planned for you. Its easy to swap exercises and I’ve got one set for a gym and home that I can swap between with ease. The workouts aren’t easy either. So do it.

### 1/5 — Charged an amount I never agreed to.

*2024-12-15, version 3.13.5*

Agreed to monthly and after 2 weeks they took yearly. Beyond upset with this and they better refund this asap.

### 4/5 — Great!

*2024-08-13*

I love the app and the workouts. The only reason for 4 stars is that there is no Apple Watch app. Is it on the roadmap?

### 5/5 — Great App, challenging and fun!’

*2024-02-05*

I love this app because the customization is awesome, the workouts are extremely modifiable which is great for my arthritis flare ups, and the workouts are challenging.

### 2/5 — Good intentions but falls short (1 month use)

*2023-07-23*

I signed up for the app as the idea of a “personalised” training program based on perceived user recovery was appealing. Also the fact that you can choose your workout days, location and movements was a great addition.

The app has many downsides and flaws that make it not a good option. The worst I found is that if you cannot complete a workout, the schedule sometimes will go crazy the following day and you schedule will move days around. When this happens the only option is to toggle off/on the schedule and that recreates all your sessions and you end up losing any progressions you might be working on.

Alongside this, you cannot view the upcoming workouts as the app creates each session on the fly every day. You can only see a line or two with the main movement patterns involved. Also, checking previous sessions is not an easy experience and since it takes into account every other workout you complete in you Apple Watch, checking the history is a mess.

The app is designed with good intentions but falls short in a few very important points. It has a built-in clock that is tiny and is positioned at the bottom and you cannot see this unless very close to the phone.

You are supposed to enter your results and RPE after every set but the buttons are tiny and when sweaty and under a high heart rate, it becomes almost impossible.

I also have blocked some movements like kipping stuff and handstand but they keep showing in my training days… not sure why?

The last and probably the most disappointing feature is the fact that it looks as if the workouts are copy pasted. There’s no way to understand if you are in a progression or what the future is going to look like. Some people might find great to hit the gym, hit a button and get a random workout plan but I do believe some kind of plan or progression has to be taken into consideration and the app seems to fail to show this in a way that the user understand what he/she is working towards.

I am experiencing that even thought I customised my training program to have the most progression and less variance but still looks very random.

Overall 2 starts makes for the great effort they have put into the app design and the overall cool idea of AI taking care of your training but I’d rather go ask ChatGPT to create a session for me and not having to pay a monthly fee… I truly don’t believe this but just wanted to throw some humour after all the gloom and doom.

I am pretty sure most won’t read all this review but I hope the app designers do and take into consideration some changes as, as of today, it is not worth the cost.
