Not realizing at first that it was Catholic, I just noticed that this "Christian station" seemed to be giving more deeply profound answers to Biblical questions. It drew me in, even after I realized it was Catholic. I soon downloaded the app, so that even when I couldn't pick it up on my Radio, I was able hear the programs. The app works so easily and flawlessly to help me find any topic I am interested in. With all due respect to you and your dedicated work as CEO of Relevant Radio, I would like to share some concerns. I greatly appreciate Relevant Radio and especially enjoy your homilies. However, in my opinion, and in the opinion of many people with whom I communicate and whom I have introduced to Relevant Radio in both the USA and Europe, the way Father Rocky leads the Holy Rosary is not always appropriate for such a sacred devotion. Specifically, I do not think it is necessary—nor particularly dignified or respectful to the Blessed Virgin Mary—to comment during the Rosary on who Father Rocky sees on the screen, whether it is a particular family, a photograph of the Holy Father, or someone else. During the Rosary, people are often praying intensely, many of them on their knees, bringing their deepest intentions and supplications to Our Lady. They are praying for loved ones who are sick, severely disabled, battling Stage IV cancer, dying, or facing other serious hardships. At such moments, comments unrelated to the prayer itself can be distracting and can diminish the sense of reverence that many listeners seek. Many of my friends and fellow parishioners also feel that it is unnecessary to greet animals at the end of the Rosary. While we certainly appreciate God's creation, we wonder whether it would be more appropriate to focus on greeting and encouraging the people listening—especially those who are homebound, bedridden, hospitalized, living in nursing homes, lonely, or suffering. These individuals often rely on the Rosary for spiritual comfort and support. I understand that Father Rocky may wish to bring warmth and a sense of community to the broadcast. However, I believe that trying to be humorous during the Rosary can sometimes detract from the solemnity and sacredness of the prayer itself. I offer these comments respectfully, as a longtime listener, supporter, contributor, and promoter of Relevant Radio. My intention is simply to share feedback that I know is shared by many others who deeply value the Rosary and the mission of Relevant Radio. Thank you for taking the time to consider these thoughts. So annoying and not meditative! What’s the rush, mister?! He comes off as flippant and too cool for the practice. Disappointing, because otherwise this app seems to offer nice features. But I picked this app for the rosary specifically, so I’m looking elsewhere. ### 2/5 — Taylor Swift *2024-02-20* Please pray for Taylor Swift. She is a young, talented, beautiful soul who has used the gifts God has given her to make a spectacular living. Hearing the Drew Mariani Show today on Presidents’ Day, February 19, 2024, I felt she was put through the ringer. In today’s gospel reading some of the highlights were “you should not lie or speak falsely to one another,” or put out stumbling blocks, “you shall not act dishonestly in rendering judgment,” “you shall not go about spreading slander…” “you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” All these commandments of our Lord, I feel were ignored during this segment of the Drew Mariani Show. I believe Taylor Swift knows her talents, believes in herself, doesn’t doubt her ability to achieve which makes her unlimited in what she can do and earn. She should be praised for becoming a billionaire at 34 years old and relevant radio should not speculate she must be a witch or made a deal with the devil. This is one of the reasons about 5% of the people of the world own about 90% of the wealth in the world. They think differently than most, believe in themselves, know their talents and strengths, take risks, and never doubt that they could achieve their goals. So please pray for Taylor Swift’s continued success and for the many jealous unsuccessful people who seem to love to slander her and other successful people. It’s so unbecoming. Amen !! I do the 15 or 25 min rosary every night before bed. I love this app it’s part of my routine. Sometimes it just doesnt work, I’m in my house in the suburbs of a big city with great WIFI.
