App wants full access to library. ### 3/5 — Good App Concept, Mediocre Execution *2026-07-17, version 6.18.0* I’ve been using the Relive app, on and off, in both its free and paid versions, for a couple of years now. The concept of the app is great, and the free version does a pretty good job of letting users get an idea of what they can get from this app. Unfortunately, that’s about where the fun stops, as the app really falls apart beyond the free version. The interface is incredibly clunky and imprecise, painfully slow, and the premium options are shockingly thin and badly designed. The interface is so badly designed that it arguably makes the app run frustratingly worse once you pay for the premium features. ### 3/5 — Bad service *2026-07-16, version 6.18.0* Just because I had cancer, long term Covid, hernia and family deaths relating to terminal cancer, Relive decided to delete my account because I have not been on any cycling trips for he last few years. ### 4/5 — Good app but needs development *2026-06-30, version 6.17.0* I’ve used this app many times now for walks and is somewhat unique in what it does. It allows adding photos and short movie clips to the route it maps. Several improvements are on my wish list: Allowing the total movie time to exceed 60 seconds and each clip longer than 10 seconds. Instead of uploading to a server, do all the processing locally. It can take several minutes plus for the movie to be created, even using the latest iPhone and good WiFi. Finally, output in 4K as an option as well as HD. Having said all the above, it is my go to app for route mapping and hence the 4 stars. ### 5/5 — Magnifique. *2026-06-26* J’utilise depuis longtemps Relive et j’en suis très satisfait. En plus il y a souvent des améliorations qui sont apportées. Mais j’ai une suggestion: une fois le trajet lu, est ce que la carte ne pourrait pas revenir en place géographique (le nord en haut)? If you forget to stop recording after an activity, it records everything until you remember to “finish” making the data and map useless. This is unacceptable; it is a complete violation of privacy, and totally unnecessary for the app’s functionality. For years, I had the ability to grant permission for specific photos and videos to be used to create a Relive action video. Now I am blocked out of an app that I *PAID* for! There is no way to contact the developer; they’re hiding behind their AI bots for any interaction. ### 1/5 — Money grubbing *2026-08-15, version 6.19.1* This use to be a great app.. but then they forced me to update so they could start charging $. So annoying!! *2026-08-04, version 6.19.1* I tried to upload 14 short clips to a ride. everytime I tried to create it there would be a ‘oops you can only upload 60second dog clips in total’. it’s IMPOSSIBLE to work out the lengths of the clips to reduce them to fit the 60 seconds. absolutely impossible app to use ### 1/5 — Terrible company *2026-07-27, version 6.18.0* Requested a refund as I slipped out the free trial by 5 minutes. Said no, we have your money now, tough! ### 1/5 — When it works *2026-07-15, version 6.18.0* The app is great when it works. However 1 in 5 it will crash and lose the ride data. Highly disappointing since I am paying for the app. Probably won’t renew. Now it doesn’t even load without strong internet connections. Seems kind of stupid that an app intended for tracking outdoor activities in the backcountry would not work without strong cell service. It used to I’ve been trying to find how to contact the creator to see what the problem is, but there’s no one to contact apparently. Canceling subscription today. ### 1/5 — What a pity. *2026-07-11* I was really satisfied with the app during the first year, so I went ahead and renewed my subscription — big mistake. These days, it takes me hours to produce even a one-minute clip. The app is painfully slow and keeps crashing with error messages. I'm hoping to find a good alternative before my subscription runs out, so I don't have to go back to Relive. What a pity. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear this! Please try reinstalling the app. If the issue persists, feel free to reach out to our support team! ### 1/5 — No longer usable *2026-07-10, version 6.18.0* Unfortunately, Relive has decided that they will only allow you to use the app, even if you’re paying for it, if you give them complete access to your entire photo collection. I can only assume that they use this to sell your data to other companies. At one time they allowed access to just the photos taken during the activity, but that seems to no longer be the case. I would say to avoid this app. There are other others. ### 1/5 — Unacceptable requirements *2026-06-29, version 6.17.0* I have just downloaded the premium version of the app to create a 3D video of a mountain climb I have completed. I have been trying to add photos and videos to the initial draft video every which way and every time the app requires access to my whole lifetime media library. I understand that this would make the user experience more seamless but not offering a practical way to add selected media -which is a feature that the developer could easily add since they are all time-stamped and GPS located- raises suspicions that my data could be somehow used in a nefarious way at some point in the future. In any event, this raises significant privacy and security risks which I am not willing to take, hence I am cancelling my subscription. ### 1/5 — READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS *2026-06-21, version 6.16.0* So help me understand this. I can cancel within 14 days but no for yearly renewals, I cannot login into the app or I will void my terms and conditions, but I have to login to the app to contact your customer service. I should have received a reminder email but not for yearly renewals. Is there any scenario where the customer can have some leverage? I am 7 days into the subscription, I only logged in that day when I accepted the terms ( as you may know it is the only way to do it), yet I can’t get a refund?
