It’s very annoying and a bit misleading. Please fix it. ### 2/5 — Crime rates *2022-12-25, version 3.7.0* Unlike other real state websites this one don’t have the crime rates I think that’s really important when buying a house, you would want to know if it’s a nice and safe area for your family if it had that I would give it a five star. ### 2/5 — Latest version broken. *2022-02-05, version 3.6.11* Can’t login with email. Entered account email and “Next” button does nothing. Could never use my settings/preferred searches unless on my home WiFi. Searches not accessible on 4G/LTE network only. Repeated SSO error when trying to create Apple ID login; (no WiFi). What happened? The app used to work better. ### 2/5 — Where did “for rent” go? *2022-01-27, version 3.6.11* I’ve used the app for a while now and have been able to search for properties that are for rent. However, For a few weeks now that is no longer an option… where did that option go?! Weirdly my favorited properties or properties I had saved still show up, they are all rentals. Anyway… like others have said it’s not smooth. Apparently options go missing. If you’re looking to rent it’s not the app for you. ### 3/5 — Search ability *2021-12-12, version 3.6.8* Having to change the search every time you open it, and if you don’t then user ability isn’t very good. ### 2/5 — Update is a failure *2021-04-06, version 3.5.5* I was somewhat enjoying this app prior to the update, minus a few bugs. Just updated it, now it takes forever to log back in, & it has COMPLETELY ERASED all of my favorites... And now it won’t search! I’ve typed in the exact city and the details ended, nope. Nada shows up. Expanded the search area. Nope. Still nada. 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄 ### 4/5 — My review about this app *2021-01-13, version 3.4.1* I like this app because it helps u find the perfect home ur looking for . I rate this app 4/5 because I have to put my email to find the house I love but sometimes I forget my email password and the I can’t use the app so yeah . ### 4/5 — Much improved *2021-01-01, version 3.4.1* As a RE/MAX Agent.. I recognize this review could be seen as biased. But if you’d seen the constant complaints that I’ve made to Booj since it’s inception, you will know it’s true. Booj had a monumental task. They took a company RE/MAX who was in a Dinosaur age for technology and had to build everything from the ground up. Right now this app is my go to app for looking at homes. Is it still a little laggy on the load up... yes... is it perfect... no... But the app provides a friendly user experience and honestly makes me proud to give this to my clients. Hope this is both honest and critical **Developer response:** Hello! We love our agents! They are the real backbone of the RE/MAX brand! Glad you like the application, we are working to continually improve the user experience. ### 2/5 — RE/MAX app *2020-10-30, version 3.3.1* Is not user friendly. Had trouble loading the app with frequent lock up and once on, any info sought from a selection took very long to load or caused a lock up. Checked other similar sites with no such problems so I’ve ruled out internet connection. Disappointing as my realtor is with this company. ### 3/5 — Crashing *2020-08-31, version 3.2.1* This was a great App but now it’s constantly crashing. When I go to view the photos the page goes blank and you can’t exit out without having to completely close the app out. Please fix this. ### 3/5 — It’s okay *2020-08-26, version 3.2.1* This app shows more houses than other apps. I experience glitches and lag. Arrow buttons don’t respond as quick as they should. When I look at my saved homes, it doesn’t allow me to look at pictures. When I hit the heart to save a home, it doesn’t darken right away. I only use this app because it shows the most houses, but it drives me crazy that buttons take 3-5 hits before they respond. ### 2/5 — Finding your dream home is now infuriating *2020-07-30, version 3.1.1* If you’re lucky, the app crashes, putting you out of your misery. If you aren’t lucky, search filters don’t work, or work partially; results show some times and not others; views freeze, forcing you to shut the app down; saved searches appear half of the time only. On the positive side, it makes me spend more time on my laptop, when I’m forced to chuck the iPhone across the room. ### 2/5 — Its really not great.. *2020-07-26, version 3.1.1* If you are just trying to look at pictures of houses in an area, then this app might be ok but if you are seriously looking then it's a dumpster fire. "Favoriting" a listing works maybe 50% of the time, sometimes the app will show you that it was successfully favorited but if you go check then its not in your saved listings...very frustrating when trying to narrow in on places to view. Going through the saved search results is a nightmare because they constantly reshuffle so you have no idea where you left off. Hiding a listing that you no longer want to see also reshuffles the list... We have tried the app and the desktop version, they are both terrible. ...it's just really poor at helping a buyer sort through and narrow down on a set of homes to view in person. ### 2/5 — This app stinks! *2020-07-11, version 3.1.1* I don’t normally write reviews, but after this app crashed for the 1000th time, I’m saying something! The app itself isn’t anything special. Do you want to do a search, especially by using they’re drawing option? The app crashes constantly if you try. They send another app update out but nothing is fixed. It will never be fixed! I don’t know who these reviewers are leaving 5 stars, maybe people who bought or sold houses through the company and were pushed to leave a good review? Because this should be a review of the app and not of the company itself. And this app stinks! If I drive by and see that RE/MAX sign on a sellers lawn, i would like to use the app to see photos but the app is literally a problem! ### 2/5 — Needs fixes *2020-06-17, version 3.1.0* I’ve been using this app for about three weeks now. It was great, gave me info on homes in the area, pictures and I was even able to save to favorites. For the past three days now I’m unable to save to favorites, now for about two days I can’t even view property info. Please fix quickly, for our location, this is s great app to help with looking for a new home. ### 2/5 — “Pending” *2020-06-10, version 3.1.0* This stupid app doesn’t tell you when a house is pending. It says it is still active. Then go on the website and find out it says differently. Would NOT recommend this app until the problem is fixed, because I had this happen two times now and was frustrated to find out that both houses were already pending. ### 3/5 — Needs capability to search multiple areas. *2020-05-10, version 3.0.10* I think this app needs the ability to be able to search multiple cities at once. Right now, you can only search one city at a time. The feature where you can draw a line around areas to search is nice, but it is not as precise as having the ability to search specific areas by name. Also, the photos are compressed. The visual quality is not as good as compared to some other apps. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2022-12-05, version 3.7.0* One was the least I could rate it. The ONLY thing this app does that the Zillow app does not do, is seems to show some properties Zillow doesn’t have. 1) this app does not have the option in maps to show lot lines like Zillow does 2) I can not make this app actually save searches. 3) it is limited on what properties you can view. No foreclosure, pre foreclosure, for sale by owner, or other properties the Remax will not profit from 4) map view is terrible, it i its to many major features like small airports, lakes, ect. 5) this app seems to have a robust tool bar, but most of the options don’t seem to work. ### 1/5 — Got some work to do *2022-07-11, version 3.6.17* The app doesn’t show me houses at all?? Even without any filters. I’ve tried multiple locations thinking maybe the surrounding area didn’t have anything. But the website shows me differently. It also doesn’t allow me to filter for homes to rent, only buy. The website is great but the app 100% needs to be reconstructed. ### 1/5 — Constantly refreshes your search *2021-03-13, version 3.5.0(a)* This app doesn’t give complete information. (No big deal) but when you leave the app to find the info required you’ll reopen the app to find your back to the home page and have to restart your search from square one. The app is sluggish requiring yet another wait to to get everything to reload ### 1/5 — Worst app ever !!! *2020-11-14, version 3.3.1* Let’s see, where should I start ? Well for starters, you can’t run the app in portrait mode. Landscape only. Most times when I start the app up, I have to constantly log back in to access my saved searches. Very frustrating. Then to top it all off, if you can get past the near constant crashes and freezes, you can finally start your home search. This app is nowhere near ready for prime time. I’ve seen beta versions of apps perform better than this. RE/MAX should be ashamed. **Developer response:** Hi, we are sorry to hear you are having issues, can you let us know what device and OS System you are using and we can troubleshoot? ### 1/5 — Cant filter results *2020-10-04, version 3.2.1* This app used to be good. However recently, when i put in my filters, the app completely disregards them and gives me everything in the area. Including houses that are hundreds or thousands of dollars over my budget. How am i supposed to look through potential houses if i cant narrow my results. Very disappointing. ### 1/5 — Don’t bother *2020-09-22, version 3.2.1* Worst app for real estate. It won’t save a search so you need to reenter all search criteria every time you go on. Even if you are logged in. Also shows every listing twice??? Won’t let you get out of a listing to go back to map/list without closing and going back in...to re enter all search criteria. DELETING AS SOON AS I SUBMIT THIS REVIEW. Don’t waste your time or patience. ### 1/5 — Needs an overhaul *2020-05-25, version 3.0.10* The places this app really needs to work well is where it fails the most. It’s impossible to predict when it will accept your request to save a property to favorites. Many times clicking the heart icon results in no response. The hide and share buttons work every time but not the save! This is extremely frustrating when you’re trying to find your next home. The next item is the sharing with a co-buyer. It says “send invite” but neither of us ever received an e-mail to accept this “invite”. What occurred was after some clicking back and forth we both saw each other’s emails listed as a co-buyer, success? Nope. My wife adds a property and I might see it the next day or immediately, who knows. Please pay for a UI/Development team to make this work! You’re being made fools off with realtor and Zillow I’m sad to say. ### 1/5 — Slightly more tolerable than the mobile site *2020-04-25, version 3.0.7* Clunky and highly non-intuitive, I’d stick with Zillow if you’re looking to avoid frustration. The interface is okay, but usage is where you’ll rip your hair out. Nothing about this app feels responsive, and you’ll be spending more time wondering if you did what you set out to do. I’m a developer myself, so it’s not just the “difficulties of technology”. It’s a realistically bad implementation. ### 1/5 — Crap App *2018-11-12, version 2.22.4* This app is extremely limited and difficult to use. You cannot save homes. You cannot login, and feedbacks, nor ever any keywords to improve your search. Balloon view doesn't work at all. There's no satellite view. You can search for homes only, then either Screenshoot them or look them up in another app like Zillow or Trulia and save them there. This app is terrible. ### 1/5 — Too slow and freezes when viewing street map of house *2018-09-03, version 2.22.4* This app is so frustrating. I find myself looking at other real estate apps. This is a new occurrence I’ve been looking at this app on and off for two or three years and it still doesn’t work right and also when I do get an alert there’s no way to open the house I’m being alerted about in my email. It really uplifts me. It’s very easy to use, and recently have learned I don’t even need to be very zoomed in on an area like I used to be, which wasn’t so bad either. My favorite feature is the ability to share an account with someone. My fiancé and I are looking to buy and through the app we can each favorite different listings and see what each other likes. The “live” feature is super cool - hold it up to in a neighborhood and see all the homes and prices live on screen! The search features are really robust and it’s great that you can draw the area out with your fingertip. Walkability scores, weather, etc all right there.
