## What is Rememorate | Remembering Names?

We combine tech tools with tested psychological techniques to help you remember the people you meet. It’s a visual contact management and personal CRM app with a focus on easily retrieving and finding a person you've added, even if you can’t remember their name. The key is through association, or as the psychologists call it, the encoding specificity model.

How does it work?

The first step to Rememorate someone is to take a photo. That photo will become a visual cue to help you remember that person -- it could be of the person, a selfie with you and the person, or even a photo of something that reminds you of the person/place/time.

If you take a photo of their business card, it will automatically scan in all of the text, place it in the appropriate fields, and make everything searchable. It'll also poll social media, and if they have a public profile it'll automatically populate their LinkedIn, Twitter, and/or Facebook info. We can also find profile photos, and give you the option to replace the photo you took.

In other words, you can go from a photo of a business card to a LinkedIn connection in a matter of seconds.

From there, you can add any other contact info you might have, such as name, phone, email, notes, mnemonic devices, personal anecdotes, or any other info you want to remember later.

When you are ready to find your contact again, you can search your address book by photo, location on the map, the date/time you met, keywords, or all of the above!

Other Features -
> Import the contacts from your phone.
> Automatically export/sync your Rememorate contacts with your phone's normal contacts app.
> Privately backup your contacts using our Dropbox integration.
> Play 3 different memory games, to improve your memory and recall.

Our Mission -
The more people you remember and connect with, the better your life will be. We believe a contact management app should do more than just store your contacts. Over time, it should help you remember more information about the important people in your life.

Rememorate stores your address book the same way your brain does, through associations. The more those associations are made, the more likely you are to remember someone without actively needing to reference them.

What we mean is, the more you use Rememorate to find who you are looking for, the less work you'll need to do to find them again. Rememorate helps your brain solidify those connections while keeping all their info ready just in case you need a quick reminder.

Want to speed up the process? Rememorate subscriptions include a memory and brain training game using your contacts so you can keep everyone's names and faces fresh in your mind.

Rememorate is your personal contact assistant. It isn’t just a remember names app, it helps you remember the important details other address book apps can’t.

### 4/5 — Good ideas

*2021-01-24*

App has some neat concepts for adding new people. However, adding people you already know doesn't work well because you can't change a contact's location, and it always gets set to your location. Not good for adding people in other cities.

### 5/5 — Best in class

*2020-07-02*

I’ve been looking for a great networking app for years, and have tried many different options. I put 2 years of investment into building up my Name Shark library, even though I hated every moment of adding a contact to the library. It was just so slow. I finally switched to Rememorate. I wish I had done earlier. The app is lightening fast to add a contact and is simple to use. Whenever I meet someone, I immediately use the app to note down key things I want to remember about the relationship. As relationships are one of the keys to a success life, this is a must have app.

Ps. Quick update after 9 months of usage and hundreds of contacts, I Love this app because the developer is constantly improving the capability!

### 5/5 — This app actually helps me remember ppl!

*2019-11-07*

I’m not writing this review because someone told me to. Straight up love it and actually use it. Good with faces, terrible with names. I’m a realtor and it actually helped me.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2019-05-11*

It was the app I always wanted but was never built. I even wanted to build myself but glad someone else saved me the time.

The games feature is super cool.

Now the hard part - meeting new people!

### 5/5 — Essential for keeping connections

*2018-08-20*

In my field I’m constantly traveling and meeting people and being handed samples of their work, business cards, recommendations and souvenirs. Through this app, I’ve been able to categorize all of those items into a usable system for remembering the people I met on a project. If you’re terrible with names like me, its most helpful features are the ability to take a picture of something associated with the person and the ability to pin the location where you met them. I would say it’s an essential tool, in any field, for organizing your connections and remembering to keep in touch with them.

### 5/5 — Great for work travel!

*2018-08-20*

I travel a lot for work and meet a lot of people which why I downloaded this app. I’m finding the map feature to be very helpful in recalling and keeping track of people I meet when traveling.
Only negative is that I wish I could back up my contacts to google drive instead of Dropbox.

Despite all its features, I’ve found it very easy to use and have been using it exclusively to save all contacts now.

**Developer response:** So glad you love it! Stay tuned for future updates for more options to store your back ups.

### 5/5 — Never forget anyone ever again!

*2018-08-18*

Great app and idea, particularly contact mapping! Not something I initially thought I needed, but it would be difficult to turn back now!

**Developer response:** We are so glad you're loving it!

### 5/5 — Really helpful!

*2018-08-18*

I'm amazing with faces but terrible with names. Heard about this from a friend and decided to try it out. I'm so glad I did cause it's awesome! I went to a networking event, used it instead of gathering business cards, and it made my next day follow ups a lot easier. For the cards I got, it was annoying to have to manually load them in so hopefully their working on that. But otherwise it's exactly what I was looking for.

**Developer response:** You're in luck! Business card scanner is coming soon. Make sure to watch for it on future updates.
