## What is Remnants?

Remnants is a field journal for the places you've stood.

Three kinds of remnants you can leave at any spot in the world.

WHISPERS
A short text or voice note pinned to a coordinate. Anyone within ten metres hears it as they walk through. Drop a thought, a memory, a warning, a recommendation. Yours come back when you return.

ECHOES
A cinematic photo card stamped with the spot, the date, and a fragment of found-poetry. The film grain and amber wash give every echo the feel of a postcard from a place you can't quite remember the name of.

TIME CAPSULES
Seal a message at a spot you care about. Pick when it opens — an hour, a year, a decade. Walk back when the hourglass empties. Optionally bury an echo inside it. The only way to write to your future self at a specific place.

SHADOW MODE
Want to listen first? Enter as Shadow. No account, no email, listen-only. Step out of the shadows whenever you're ready.

WHY REMNANTS
Most apps treat places as a database. Remnants treats places as memory — layered with the voices of strangers and yourself. Walk past, listen in. Drop a fragment for the next person.

Requires location access for the drop-and-listen feature. The app uses your GPS to surface whispers at the spot you're standing on and to notify you when you walk into the radius of a remnant left by someone else. You can disable location at any time in Settings.
