Every time I tried opening up the app, a few months after I downloaded, it it just wouldn’t open at all. Even if it did it wouldn’t work for my xbox(xbox one) sometimes my xbox wouldn’t show up at all( might be on my part for that one). When I downloaded this app it also went onto my iPad. This app still for some reason worked on my iPad but not my phone? One day I turned my Xbox on and none of the buttons work except for the power buttons. It was working flawlessly for 2 weeks before that. I’m really disappointed that it doesn’t work all the sudden. The only problem is the poor design which you don’t really care about if you’re having problems with your remote and all you want is to turn on a show to watch. All I get now is this message at the bottom when attempting to connect ( trying to connect with engine 1 ) and then ( nil ) My wifi is connected, when I turn on my Xbox it shows connection to my wifi so I don’t understand why it’s not working anymore. I have removed the app and downloaded it again and it’s the same. Please fix this because when it does work it’s a great app. It saved me for a while cause my actual remote controller stopped working. When imputing manually it still shows same comments. I noticed after I paid for the ads to be removed; I can turn my Xbox on and off using this application. Prior to this; I could only turn it off. No complaints here. HOWEVER I DISCOVERED ANOTHER WAY!! IF YOU DOWNLOAD THE XBOX APP, LINK YOU XBOX, AND CLICK THE XBOX CONNECT ICON AT THE TOP TWORDS THE RIGHT SIDE IT ALREADY HAS A REMOTE CONTROL BUILT INTO THE APP!!! (ps both decides must be on the same network to work!) It can connect to my xbox and roku tv but has a lot of ads that pop up when you tap a button more than once which opens up scam ads and porn occasionally it gets old very fast so be careful with how fast you click. The layout is also overly complicated were on a phone we dont need to see a remote on our phone that we need to scroll to see other buttons. Make big buttons that are easy to click and are simple. Contacted them 3 times for support with no reply what so over. This freezes so bad that my Xbox controller won’t even respond with the console. Then, I go into this app and disconnect and then y am able to continue watching my movie on my streaming service. Yes, I am watching movies when this happens. I never really use this because of the extra steps and hassle. I’ve used this for a little while and out of nowhere it starts crashing when I open it. And when I say crashing I mean 2 seconds after I open it. I’d recommend just investing your money in a Xbox controller or remote when you get the chance. This is not a permanent solution. Major bugs even when it is working due to the ads popping up every 20-30 seconds. Makes the remote stop working then you have to close the app and re open it. We watch tv with the Xbox and as any parent knows it’s hard to get up and grad a controller while holding a sleeping baby. It’s great once it’s connected there’s no issues until the app is closed.
