### 4/5 — Cannot see directories starts with ‘.’

*2022-12-01, version 4.1.1*

A good app supports connecting to windows shared drives. However, it cannot see any folder starts with a dot character. E.g. folder with name “.profile” is not visible. Please fix this in the next release?

### 2/5 — Still can’t transfer correctly

*2020-09-26, version 4.0.0*

Sending files to a computer, it will not send the last file you select. If you select only one file to send to a pc, it will not send at all

### 3/5 — Stopped working iOS 14.

*2020-09-22, version 4.0.0*

Stopped working after iOS 15 update

Free version lost the ability to play any video file. Not cool.

### 3/5 — Problems access Time Capsule

*2018-08-24, version 3.4.3*

It’s not working to access Time Capsule through Mobile Data. It’s works only through Wi-Fi anywhere.

### 4/5 — Please update for iPhone X

*2018-02-15, version 3.4.2*

The control overlapping with the home bad in the bottom

### 4/5 — So far so good

*2017-06-04, version 3.2.0*

Great program for moving files from my network to my iPad. Does everything it says. Haven't been using it long so may not be aware of any problems but haven't encountered any yet.

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2016-11-03, version 3.2.0*

I simply love this app! It works seamlessly with my time capsule and requires zero technical skills to operate. It automatically detects your network storage devices, making connection much faster. The only restriction is that the free version can only connect to 1 NAS at a time but I really think it's a great idea to buy the full version.

A big thanks to the developer from my side.

### 5/5 — Works great

*2016-10-24, version 3.2.0*

Can search windows network. And move files too.

### 5/5 — Great simple app

*2016-10-05, version 3.2.0*

Let's you browse your pc like it's a attached Hdd it's amazing And opens up a whole new world of content on your pc

It's so fast and smooth you'd think it's a Apple designed app

Free version is a bit limited with file support but it's free if you need more get the paid version

### 5/5 — Better streaming than File Explorer

*2016-10-02, version 3.2.0*

I was using file explorer but my GoPro and drone videos kept on a NAS drive buffer every 5 secs on playback. With remote file manager, the streaming is crystal clear with no pauses. It's very fast. Recommend it.

### 5/5 — Works perfectly the first time

*2016-09-03, version 3.2.0*

I was expecting to have to play with the settings several times to get this configured. Instead, I entered my VPN server name and credentials and the next thing I knew I could see me files. I love when that happens. Thank you!

### 1/5 — Unsuccessful in reading files

*2020-03-09, version 4.0.0*

I used to use this app regularly. But a few years ago it stopped its capability of reading my files stored on my Apple Airport router. My devices currently run iOS 13.4 and I just get a gray screen when trying to view a file. I had hoped this issue would’ve been fixed with software updates, but it has not. Hope to be able to once again use this app soon.

### 1/5 — Used to love this app

*2019-11-14, version 4.0.0*

New version took away ability to play basic videos, which it seems to do great. Now it’s useless for streaming my guitar lessons to my iPad from my NAS, which was the primary reason I used it

### 1/5 — Last update breaks media playback

*2019-11-02, version 4.0.0*

Was a good app... this last so-called big version update removes mp3, mp4, mpeg and other multimedia format playback but doesn’t disclose .

### 1/5 — Videos no longer work

*2019-11-02, version 4.0.0*

Some video file formats that worked in previous versions now throw a prompt to purchase the full version.

### 1/5 — Latest (October 2019) update broke app

*2019-10-25, version 4.0.0*

No longer loads/plays video. Just a blank gray screen.

### 1/5 — I loved this app until...

*2019-03-03, version 3.5.2*

I’ve been using this app for a long time and I’ve been able to access files on my time capsule but all of a sudden I’ve been receiving connecting timed out errors. I know my time capsule is functioning as I’m able to access it through my other devices. I’m very disappointed!

### 1/5 — Description is a lie

*2018-05-25, version 3.4.3*

This app does not play ANY movie files, even of the types explicitly listed. Instead, a pop up shows up trying to get you to pay for the “premium” version.

The listing needs to be accurate. I’ve reported this app to Apple until it is changed.

### 1/5 — Purchase app nag

*2017-03-26, version 3.2.0*

Please fix your software, I downloaded it yesterday. I wanted to make sure it worked for me before purchasing. It nags SO much to update to paid version, I just went ahead early and paid for full version. So guess what happens, first time in full app (nag screen). So I closed app, just in case it was running previous non-paid app. No, just keeps nagging to buy the app. What the hell, please fix the software so it checks for purchase. I have never seen this before and I have over 150 paid apps.
I will update this review if the nag screen goes away.

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2015-11-24, version 3.1.0*

I'd say it's my fault for not doing research on this app but it looks like and has the same name as the snes emulator that was taken off the App Store. Thought I'd take the plunge and try it out. Google store has the right idea of being able to get your money back within a time limit. This is not what I want and I'd like to get my 4 bucks back.

### 1/5 — Cannot access files

*2015-11-20, version 3.1.0*

Continues to throw errors with no way for me to troubleshoot first was "Socket timed out" then when that stopped throwing and fixed itself now it says connection failed with errors failed to list files!!! No moving forward!! App is useless I can see the folders on my Time Capsule and NAS but can't see the files inside the folders!! File Browser APP is far superior and works fine this is trash! I like the Look of this app better but it doesn't work!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The file manager Apple should provide

*2020-01-25, version 4.0.0*

but didn’t. So get this app! Does a great job with local and remote files. Simple file transfer or streaming of all popular formats. In fact, I am using this app instead of DLNA for playing LAN content.

### 5/5 — Sweet, sweet love down by the fire.

*2019-02-12, version 3.5.2*

Perfect for streaming those special media files from the file server upstairs in the main house to my iPad down here in the shop. I may make the plunge into app ownership in the near future. Glorious days we are living people! Glorious days......

### 5/5 — It Does What I Need

*2018-05-14, version 3.4.3*

A good remote file manager for NAS storage. The streaming options are a big plus. It does what I need.

### 5/5 — Fully accessible, works great.

*2017-08-17, version 3.3.0*

As a blind user it's magnificent that an app works for me. Or use voice over on my iPhone it works great. Great job thank you

### 5/5 — Something Apple should have built in

*2017-08-15, version 3.3.0*

This gives functionality that the iPhone should have such as local file management, works well for storage and playing media files.

### 5/5 — works for me

*2017-08-11, version 3.3.0*

The app is useful in giving access to files photos and video on my network drive remotely via iPads.
I like the ease of use and fast connect.
Thanks fjs

### 5/5 — Thank You!!!!

*2017-05-24, version 3.2.0*

I needed a way to connect to my Airport Extreme and another NAS. This worked perfectly and was extremely easy to configure. Thank you for making it for us for FREE! I'd donate to you if you let me know where. Thanks again.

### 5/5 — Great Replacement

*2017-03-13, version 3.2.0*

Great replacement app for remote files. I used remote files for a long time. When I changed up addresses I discovered Remote Foles was no longer available so I switched to this app.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2017-01-17, version 3.2.0*

Very fast browsing a NAS. Great for viewing images. Shows thumbnails of images and auto rotates photos. Slideshow feature is a nice touch!

### 5/5 — Love This App!

*2016-12-28, version 3.2.0*

This has become my favorite way to move files around from the Internet to my LAN and among the ten machines on the LAN (2 to 6 shared drives on each). It was very easy to set up each machine and the respective shared drives and to upload and download files to/from the desired targets.

The only remotely negative thing I've run into is that it can see files on the memory card or USB flash drive in my Epson Workforce 7620, it cannot upload or download them. Since the app works flawlessly in everything else, this may be due to a quirk in the printer.
