After serving in the SEAL Teams, I appreciate training that prioritizes actual comprehension over just passing a test. Unlike many prep tools that simply have you memorize practice questions, this app requires you to learn the underlying subject matter. The material is challenging, but the way it reinforces each topic ensures the knowledge actually sticks. My thanks to FlightReady.net for their support and for providing a solid educational foundation. ### 5/5 — Excellent Course, Passed First Try *2025-08-17* Beyond impressed with the quality of this course. I never really leave App Store Reviews, but I wanted to take the time here because this course made my Part 107 prep beyond straightforward. I’m also happy that the course will be kept updated, since it’s easy to keep up to date with their flashcards and whatnot. I spent about 4 days working through the content for about 2-3 hrs per day, plus a day to review and take practice tests. Passed with a 93%. I’d say that a week of steady commitment would be both comfortable and produce similar results. Also a note to other hopefuls, the other apps I downloaded (won’t mention them here), had numerous inaccuracies and vague questions which didn’t reflect either the test format or content. This app, on the other hand, mirrored it near-exactly. And, while there were some frustrating questions that it asks you, the same is true for the actual exam. I know some people prefer to save money by simply using free online resources, but the cost of the course is equal to the cost of the exam, and the developers will offer a refund if you pass the course reqs and fail the exam. So, I don’t really feel as though it was all that uneconomical. ### 1/5 — Does Not Justify the Price — Be Cautious *2024-11-18* I want to warn potential buyers about the misleading pricing strategy of the Remote Pilot app. After purchasing a $49 subscription, I expected full access to the drone pilot exam preparation materials. However, what I received was merely a collection of links to public files, which was not what I anticipated. To make matters worse, I found out later that to access the actual practice tests, I needed to pay an additional $89. This is highly deceptive and unfair. The subscription does not provide unique content and misleads users about what they are paying for. In the end, I found another app offering the same materials and practice tests for only $10, with far better value and organization. **Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your feedback. This app nails it with explaining right/wrong answers and Visual examples!!! Download this app! ### 1/5 — False 7 Day Free Trial *2024-01-24, version 2.79.0* They say they give you a 7 day free trial but they locked all the other sections than the first one I completed. Why? My guess is there is not even 7 days worth of content and if they did not lock the others you could complete them all in the free trial period and realize how easy it is to study with the free FAA Study Guide. 100 dollars is a steep price for an app that won’t even keep a basic promise of a free trial ### 3/5 — Frustrating to use on iPhone *2023-07-20* I can tell that these folks put a lot of time and energy into the app, but it’s cumbersome and frustrating to use on a cell phone screen. It’s a shame, really, cause it seems well designed otherwise. It’s great that they supply all of the supplemental figures with each question, but I found myself constantly scrolling up and down, and having to repeatedly open and close the supplemental diagrams to reread the questions and apply my knowledge toward choosing the right answer. This could easily be solved if the developer simply supplied the corresponding figure number from the “Airmen Knowledge Testing Supplement” than is easily purchased or downloadable as a stand alone PDF from many sources. I exclusively used this app. I did each module. I followed it completely through. I never got lower than a 77 on any module. I scored in the 90s on both stage checks. I did EVERY question and got an 87%. I then did a few days of practice tests never scoring lower than 90.
