I was a bit skeptical paying for it, but I’m glad I did. It would be nice if it had more functions. It does not , however, remember previous connection details. Every time it asks to scan the code. Rather frustrating. Unfortunately, it completely zoinked out on the red carpet last weekend and I ended up taking selfies instead of the action shots I had planned. I tried for about 30 minutes before the carpet opened but to no avail. There I was with o connectivity and no shots…I don’t know what happened nor do I know of any workarounds should it happen again. Video Quality is good (iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 6s). With my iPhone on the handlebars and the control side, I can see everything going on in the back and don't have to take my eyes off the road. Very nice! What I miss is an auto reconnect method. If I lose connection, I have to stop and reconnect again. Very stressful in the long run. Another app can do that and I wish this one could too. The development apparently has stopped. ### 3/5 — Appli prometteuse mais un petit souci à la première utilisation *2022-09-25, version 3.5* J'ai fait plusieurs tests en mode transfert to remote avec des vidéos assez courtes sans soucis. Par contre j'ai enregistré une vidéo de plus d'une heure et une fois la vidéo terminée la synchro n'a jamais abouti et je n'ai pas la vidéo en local non plus. Je pensais que la vidéo était enregistrée en local sur le téléphone "camera", et transférée ensuite vers la "remote" mais apparemment ce n'est pas le cas. ### 3/5 — Decent app. Only supports one lens *2022-09-23* This app works close to expected but I’d be more inclined to buy ad-free if it had support for use of the other lenses (wide angle & telephoto). **Developer response:** Hey Clowney this issue has been addressed ### 3/5 — It certainly works *2022-09-15, version 3.5* The app works as intended but it needs some work. key features like pinch to zoom is missing along with tap to focus, a lot of my pictures were out of focus. It is doesn’t appear to be taking full resolution images because a lot of them came out grainy. it’s a great app and does what it says just needs some polishing. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2026-02-23* Had hopes it would be good and it seem like it at first but very time I connect my devices and chose a role one of them crashes **Developer response:** Update from the developer: the exact crash you hit — right after choosing a role — was found and fixed in version 7.0. Connection handling was rebuilt again in 8.x and it's now the most stable the app has ever been. I'd be grateful if you gave it one more try with the current version; if it misbehaves at all, email me and I'll dig into it personally. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2026-02-03, version 4.13* Absolutely worthless and a waste of my time . “ Error unable to connect” the usual response. The reason the App Store makes you ask for permission is that the user is supposed to be able to say "no" without you throwing a strop and punishing them for it. "No microphone" should mean "no audio recording", not a big black screen saying "you said no so now I won't work". Deleted. ### 1/5 — Shady permissions requirement *2023-05-21* Why is this app requiring me to allow access to part or all of my existing photo library in addition to the microphone and camera on BOTH devices, despite the fact that other apps have an option in the same menu to add photos only? If this is exclusively for the purpose of adding photos to your library as the permissions prompt implies, why is the app forcing users to consent to allow more access than that, when other apps apparently have the option to request that specifically? Not to mention, only paid users can even record video, so it's suspicious that you're requiring microphone access for your free users. I need to be able to zoom in and out when taking video. This feature is not available, which makes this app completely obsolete for me. Wish I could have my money back… **Developer response:** You do not actually need to buy it twice if the two devices are under the same Apple Store account, just buy it from the first one and restore purchases from the second. I will be spending more time into a deep dive, but so far, everything seems to working correctly. I even got a message from the developer(s) about the changes. That is customer support done right. **Developer response:** Thank you for coming back and updating your review — feedback like your original one is what drove the connection-layer rebuild, so "fixes every issue I initially had" is the best thing a developer can read. And keep an eye out — a big update is in the works this month. ### 5/5 — Remote camera *2025-12-28* I really like the concept and the fact that it actually does work, but it doesn’t always work so it sometimes it has a real hard time connecting to the other phone to Bluetooth and I cannot figure out why. However, if you just keep on doing it over and over and over, it eventually does and it does work. Cool app thank you. **Developer response:** Hi !! Thank you for your feedback! Je voulais simplement demander s’il était possible de rajouter quelques paramètres pour pouvoir changer la résolution ou le nombre de fps. Si par la suite vous arrivez à rajouter tout les modes de l’iPhone ce serait top mais pour l’instant ce serait vraiment bien d’avoir juste ça! Pity you can’t choose lenses but hey it’s quick and simple to use, reliable and works anywhere. What’s not to like ? ### 5/5 — A little buggy *2022-05-04* Pictures come through really clear, but the app drops the connection between devices randomly. The shutter device will also freeze randomly, while the camera device is still functioning. When either of these glitches occur, both apps have to be restarted & then relinked. **Developer response:** Developer update: the random disconnects and the frozen-remote bug you described drove a full rebuild of the connection layer in versions 7 and 8 — devices now recover the link instead of needing both apps restarted. But don’t have zoom functionality :( **Developer response:** Good news, years later: zoom is in — you can switch lenses (0.5x/1x/tele) and zoom from the remote in current versions. Thanks for the kind words back then; if you still use a camera remote, this is a very different app now. ### 5/5 — Works Great as Promised *2021-03-06* I had no difficulty getting the app to work and the process was easy. I didn’t need the barcodes or anything - just two iPhones with the app running and they “saw” each other. Then pick one as camera or shutter and all set. Worth noting that the photos will be saved on both devices. Perhaps this could be a setting in the app? It could be an issue with video if the video files take up a lot of storage (then free storage needed on both devices). Do try this - it’s free. Paid is to do video so be aware of that as well. It looks like a in’s-time purchase (not a subscription) and removes ads as well. I haven’t tried other apps but this one impressed me. **Developer response:** Thank you so much for your feedback!
