For some reason, my iPhone connects perfectly fine but my iPad keeps saying wrong password and I’ve checked all the settings a dozen times and I’ve reset the password and it still works on the iPhone, but it won’t work on the iPad, just weird

The Windows Host is a great product, but the iOS App is really unusable. Since months the support only say „we do have plans to improve and revamp the mobile Viewer in our future updates“

But unfortunately it is quite cumbersome and finicky to use. Was hoping the app would make it easier to access it when I’m on the road however I actually have to drag the cursor to the point I want and then click which is rather annoying.

If this app supported even half of the Remote Utilities core features it would be great, but as it is this is pitiful for a RMM tool in 2020.

Only supports single password. 
Plus, it takes 4-5 connection attempts before it actually connects. And the error log simply says “connection to ___ failed”. Can’t figure out what’s going on.
I’m going to contact support and hopefully I can bump this up to 5 stars at a later date!

Works fine on PC. With this app, it never successfully logs in. Reset password on host as well as double checked Id and port number. On two different hosts it fails.

**Developer response:** This review refers to the old application, which indeed had login problems — it had fallen behind current Host versions, so connections often failed even with correct credentials. We have replaced it with a brand-new app, developed alongside the current desktop version and fully compatible with it. It is worth another try.

Keyboard works for a minute then freezes. I’ve tried on multiple iOS devices with this issue. Once this is fixed, I’d give 5 stars

**Developer response:** That keyboard freeze was a defect of the old app. The app has since been rewritten from scratch and shares none of the old code, with a full keyboard panel including the Win key. Since you mentioned an updated rating, we would appreciate one if the new app works well for you. Thanks!

I’m on an iPad and I can’t get apps like excel to open, the track pad that works with the iPad doesn’t work with the program. Not a viable option.

Viel zu wenige Möglichkeiten – man kann darauf ruhig verzichten. Mit dem Tool kann man praktisch nichts anfangen: Man kann sich zwar seinen eigenen Desktop ansehen, aber bedienen lässt sich damit leider gar nichts. Alles ist viel zu umständlich. Schade.

It is ok for viewing - to help someone on the other end - but too many features are lacking.

**Developer response:** A fair point at the time. The old app has been replaced with a new one, built anew as a full mobile version of our desktop Viewer: Full Control, File Transfer and Power Control modes, multi-monitor support, and an address book with folders and sync. An updated rating would mean a lot.

They will not hesitate to take your money for a license, and the software isn’t bad as long as you assume you will never get new features or fixes, even if they promise them. Check out their support forums, they are full of promises and upset customers who have been told for years that XXX feature is right around the corner, and it never appears. If you want software with trustworthy customer support, look somewhere else.

**Developer response:** It is fair that the mobile app went a long time with few updates while the desktop software moved ahead. Rather than answer that with another promise, we can point to what has already shipped: the old app has been replaced with a completely new application, a full mobile version of our desktop Viewer, and it is now developed and released alongside the current desktop version. It is worth another look.

Windows laptop works ok but on my apple phone its a nightmare. It is however free and not £240 a year that gotomypc wanted to charge me !

Finally this app completed the set for this software.
It works fine.
Some interesting upgrades that could be made:
Possibility to create folders to group the customers.
Possibility to connect to the server manager just to sync the contacts.
Possibility (I didn’t see it at least) to connect to customers in only view mode.
Possibility also to select the particular screen in case there are multiple monitors.

Teamviewer user here, this is the alternative that worked for me... sometimes it takes a couple of attempts to connect and load the remote screen, or it might drop the connection mid-session but overall it works over 90% of the time for me to get remote support done via mobile. If RemoteUtilities gives you any issues try AnyDesk as another option.

I was looking for something free as it's just occasional use to connect to my computer in case I need to access something. For the price of zero dollar this is very good and performance is excellent. Definitively consider this if comparing teamviewer or logmein. Been long time user of logmein but since they kicked out the free plan the only option was Teamviewer but this can be problematic for me so I'm glad k found Remote Utilities. I recommend.

First make sure remote works on your PC from another PC. I had to change ports and use the gateway mediation service for connections.  To use internet id type down in all caps. Works like a charm, albeit a little slow on lte. But that can be expected. Thanks usoris for the free app.
