By connecting an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch with a DJ device by wireless LAN, that DJ device can be controlled remotely. Applicable model: XDJ-R1 Supported OS: iOS 6, iOS7 and iOS 8 iOS 4.3 and iOS 5 can be used but not guaranteed. Main functions: • Remote control of a DJ device An iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch can be used to control a DJ device from a distance from the DJ device itself. • Browsing and selecting tracks on a USB device The tracks on a USB device connected to the DJ device can be browsed and selected on the iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, and playlists can be created and edited. This makes it possible to browse and select tracks comfortably on a screen that is larger than the DJ device’s own display screen, and multi-language display is also possible. • Operation of effects on an XY pad Two types of effects (BEAT/COLOR) can be operated simultaneously by sliding your fingers on the iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. This lets you enjoy DJ performances with operations different from the operations using the knobs on the DJ device. • Direct selection of the beat for the AUTO BEAT LOOP function The beat for the AUTO BEAT LOOP function can be selected directly on the iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. This lets you enjoy DJ performances with operations different from the operations using the knobs on the DJ device. • MIDI control When using the DJ device as a MIDI controller for DJ software, the iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch can also be used as a MIDI controller. Since the Apple iOS 15.1 update it will not connect wirelessly at all to my Pioneer XDJ-R1. I’ve done everything possible such as reinstalling it, using the password etc. Will Pioneer issue and update for Remotebox so I can continue using it.? I’ve used the app for over a year and had no problems with it. The browsing function in particular is reason enough to get it. My only gripe is the scrub button. I think it should be a line instead of a circle, so that you can see EXACTLY when the Play Head is about to reach a Hot Cue. Please install a beat grid/waves on Remotebox. This is essential for DJ's to view starting/scratch points. Please allow music to be viewed by song title, time, artist, bpm, genre, album title simultaneously. Not independently. Please make the application easier to navigate. That's what makes it a great product. User friendly. ### 3/5 — does what it says, lack more helping tool *2014-10-01, version 1.2.0* This app really does well as browsing screen and effect control pad, not more than that. I wish dev at Pioneer would add waveform in this app, there are many djs that use xdj r1 too, In my city, there are 4 lounge that already uses xdj r1 as their standard equipment. A waveform display would be perfect and very helping. I'll be glad if Pioneer really listening to us. ### 4/5 — How cool would it be if there was an option to be able to record? *2014-09-23, version 1.2.0* I had the ability to purchase an XDJR-1 and I did. The main reason was because I was able to sync my iPad up to it. A very awesome feature I must say. I was was a little disappointed however that after a month of me owning this mixer you cam out with the DDJ-Wego3. I love the algoriddim app and use it all of the time, mostly for its ability to record sets. I was wondering if there could be an update to remote box to record sets of if there will be a collaboration of sorts with algoriddim to use with remote box and the XDJR-1.
