## What is RemoteCrab?

RemoteCrab turns your iPhone or iPad into a camera, microphone, trackpad and keyboard for your computer — over your local WiFi. It also brings your computer's notifications to your phone, turns your iPad into a real second display, and lets you ask AI about your computer from your phone. No account, no subscription, no analytics: video, audio and keystrokes travel only on your own network.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
• Take care of the computer from the couch: the screen follows you to the phone — swipe to scroll, press and move to drag. No getting up.
• Your computer's notifications on your iPhone; tap the banner and the computer jumps to that app and window.
• Waiting on a long task? Let the agent run; when it wants to run a command, an approval card lands on your phone to read before you allow it. Or ask AI "how far along is it?" — it sees the screen and clipboard, and the answer can be typed back at the cursor.
• No camera on your desktop? A spare iPhone becomes a crisp 1080p webcam — pick "RemoteCrab Camera" in Zoom, Teams, FaceTime or OBS.
• Need more screen? Turn your iPad into a genuine second display and drag windows onto it — no cable, no dongle.
• Long meeting? Control the computer from the couch with a full trackpad: drag, scroll, right-click, three-finger gestures and ⌃⌥⌘⇧ modifiers.
• Want the sound out loud at lunch? Switch on speaker mode and whatever plays on the computer — shows, music, meetings — sounds from the phone's speaker.
• Microphone too far or too noisy? Your iPhone is a wireless mic, and hold-to-talk types your voice into the computer.
• Type with the keyboard you already know — full Chinese IME and dictation — text lands at the computer's cursor.

FEATURES
• Ask AI: a chat on your phone that can see the computer's screen and clipboard; the answer can be typed straight into the computer's cursor.
• Speaker mode: everything the computer plays streams to the iPhone's speaker — no driver to install.
• Notifications: your computer's banners reach your iPhone. Tap one to switch your computer to that app — and that window.
• Camera: 1080p at 30 fps, hardware H.264. Appears as a standard camera in every app after installing the bundled component.
• Microphone: real-time streaming; a one-click virtual mic driver makes it available system-wide.
• Second display: extend your desktop onto the iPhone or iPad and drive any window from the touch screen.
• Mirror: watch the frontmost app from your phone and operate it directly — tap to click, one-finger scroll, hold-and-move to drag, pinch to zoom; ⌘⌥⌃⇧ can ride along with any of it.
• Number pad: slide up from the trackpad and it coexists with it, so typing numbers needs no app switch.
• Trackpad: smooth acceleration curve, momentum scrolling, drag, pinch, three-finger gestures, haptics.
• Keyboard: system IME, shortcut bar (⌘C ⌘V ⌘Z ⌘⇥), mini trackpad.
• Hold to talk: on-device speech recognition types into the computer.
• Context modes: the shortcut bar follows the frontmost app — Keynote, Xcode, Finder, browsers, editors, plus volume, brightness and media keys.
• App switcher & launcher: bring any running app forward, or search and open any installed app.
• Clipboard: send the clipboard either way with one tap.
• Files: send photos & files straight to your computer — they land in Downloads and reveal in Finder.

PRIVACY
RemoteCrab runs no server, needs no account, collects no analytics, and has no in-app purchases or subscription: camera, microphone, trackpad, keyboard, mirroring, notifications and speaker mode all stay on your own WiFi. Ask AI is entirely optional and sends only the question you ask — plus the screen and clipboard travelling with it — to the model provider you configure yourself; it never passes through us.

GETTING STARTED
RemoteCrab requires the free RemoteCrab Receiver for your computer (link inside the app). Open both, they find each other automatically, tap once to pair.
