Maybe this is caused by the most recent update. ### 1/5 — Unreliable, bad UI *2021-10-31* Does not sync reliably to my device when new access are generated. Doesn’t tell you either that it is not syncing. App UI ha no way to manually sync either. Will probably switch to another service once my subscription runs out. ### 2/5 — Hit or miss….or miss *2021-10-25* The app seems to work fine, until it doesn’t. With no rhyme or reason. I use it to check event activity at the property the coded lock is installed. Today (so far), upwards of 10 people have entered the building utilizing the lock. The app has not one record of such access. I’ve attempted to refresh the app, looked for updates, checked my wifi connection-all in vain. I guess I will uninstall and reinstall this app in an attempt to get the event history to kick in, and show me keying history reflective of the camera history. P.S.: There should be some way to sort event history by date. ### 1/5 — Still not working *2021-08-06* What is going on? It’s bad enough that I had to keep reinstalling the app every time I need to use it, Now the app won’t launch after the reinstall! This I so annoying. Besides the lack of stability, the stupid “oops…” error keeps user from doing anything. Other than uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Bring back: 1. Ability to stay signed in. 2. It needs to be deleted and reinstalled every time I use it. I am not impressed by its inability to function properly. Creating new codes and editing them accordingly is practically impossible with this app. Good luck getting anything done efficiently with this app. ### 1/5 — Awful ap *2020-03-11, version 4.44.2* When it comes to WiFi door locks this one is not good simply for the fact that we have to pay $100/year for service and it’s always a challenge to get them on the phone. And now after the last update the ap is horrible! I can’t believe they considered it an upgrade. It’s way worse than it was before. When I try to ad a new guest (I use it for my bnb) it just “thinks” with that little spinning circle for ages. Then I have to exit the ap and try again and again until it finally allows me to add a new guest. There are plenty of door locks out there that don’t have a yearly subscription so go for those. ### 1/5 — Recent upgrade is awful *2019-09-29* The old app was great. With the most recent update the UX went to total garbage. You can’t register an access user on a new door without going into an existing door that they are registered on. No easy access to other properties (have to go into hamburger menu?!). Go back to the old version, then fire your UX designer and your head of product. Specifically, I can enter the app but it says I dont have admin privileges to see or edit a guest PIN code. I am the only user; I am the admin. Tech support says they’re aware of the problem. Ive been patient because they e always been great support but enough is enough. This adds lots of time and hassle to my usability. Please fix. ### 1/5 — Absolutely useless! *2022-05-09* The app works intermittently, but what’s worse is that the lock completely seized as though it were a car engine with no oil. The batteries would go dead within days. Now I can’t even unsubscribe from the useless emails because you have to be a PAYING CUSTOMER to manage your email settings. Even though I have attempted to filter these annoying reminders of what a waste of time and money this lock and app have been, they somehow manage to persist years later. This has been the only Wi-Fi capable lock I could find so I had high hopes. Those hopes were promptly crushed by the lack of positive performance. ### 1/5 — Shady developers *2022-03-16* First you need to download the app. Then you are forced to create an account, which are your lock less secure. Then you are asked to associate your account with the street address of the build your locks are located, why makes your locks less secure. Then after all that you are finally shown that connecting your locks to wifi is not free (as it is with every other IoT device) and will cost at least $36/year. Then you delete the app because this is ridiculous, but they already have your email address and the password you added to your account, making your personal information less secure. Then you have to decide if you’re going to return the lock you just installed, or move without the wifi access you already paid for when you bought the more expensive device. This is amateur hour nonsense. ### 1/5 — App crashes on login attempt *2022-01-22* I have never been able to use the app. When I try to log in it reports an error and says to delete and reinstall. Which I’ve done a few times now. Unfortunately their website doesn’t work well on mobile either. I can’t change the time window for an existing guest, which is why I tried to install the app in the first place. ### 1/5 — Generally good… *2022-01-05, version 4.59.4* …but doesn’t work with 15.1 update. Idk why others don’t like it ### 5/5 — Excellent *2019-07-29, version 3.4.0* I recently installed 7 lockstate wifi locks in my property in Colombia. My property has a main entrance and then individual rooms, like a hotel. This software makes everything work seemlessly. It is amazing. Once the airbnb reservation is accepted, the user and access code is created instantly. The software has settings that you can control so that an email goes out automatically to the guest with the lock instructions and their access code. I reworded the instructions to my specifications and made them in English and in Spanish. The software also allows you to group doors so that if a guest reserves room 2, their code will also work for the main entrance, so they don't have separate codes for each door. I also set it up to send me a text the first time the guest uses the access code, so I know exactly when they arrive. I also like that I can check if the rooms are locked, and can lock them from the app if needed. This has truly made my life so much easier and the guests love it too. It’s great that you can create and delete guest codes from wherever I am, and I can see an activity log of everything that happens on the lock. But, it would be great to see an activity log for each guest when I click on their name where I manage my accesses. Also, a little more detail on the activity log would be useful. For example, I have a bunch of events that are only tagged as “User.” I’m not sure what that means, but if I could get more detail (like who actually opened the door) when I click on each event—that’d be great. So far, these are my only gripes. Overall, very useful. ### 3/5 — Needs more work *2026-01-08* Limited RBAC, user roles don't include devices, roles leave security holes like - role restricts to lock unlock but you can delete notification settings of admin user without any trace of the changes in admin logs for shared account access. Stuff like that. For the basic lock unlock and integrations it's very good ### 3/5 — Great idea, poor execution *2021-04-02, version 4.53.0* I like RemoteLocks (we have two) but the app died t serve a purpose because it doesn’t allow me to edit guest credentials (e.g., move up a code activation time for early check in) or to troubleshoot issues remotely. I must always do so from my laptop. When I try from the app I receive a message “snap” unavailable try again later. I’ve been receiving this exact message for two years now... ### 3/5 — Needs more work *2019-08-18, version 3.4.0* Need to be able to configure other options on the lock with the app. Like turning on and off auto lock etc... Last week’s update required me to login, and when I did, it said there was a problem with the app and a problem report was generated and someone would be alerted. It recommended deleting the app and reinstalling it, which I’ve done numerous times- same problem. Please get this recent update, updated, so I may use the app again!
