However, I can’t find a way to save the device once it has been found. Some devices I wanted to control did not work with the provided codes or aren’t in the list. So y’all need to buy phone with IR built in first. Then you’ll know this app function very well. That’s all ### 5/5 — Great App! *2019-12-08* I honestly don't know why this app only has three stars. I'm using it to control a homemade IR blaster with my old iPhone 5! As soon as I selected the TV brand, the TV and my surroundsound turned on. I can even use my homemade IR blaster with this app to control my PS4. That's mostly to do with the HDMI control but it still works!! I'm absolutely amazed! Now when I'm out at a restaurant or even a bar I can change the channel without anyone knowing! 😂 ### 5/5 — Quite good! *2019-12-05* YOU MUST PURCHASE THE INFRARED TRANSMITTER TO USE THIS APP! If you do, it works great. That being said, I saw some evidence from my router to suggest that the app may (and I emphasize “may”, because I am not certain) be collecting and/or sending me trash ads or data that I find undesirable. One other person elsewhere suggested something similar was happening to them, but I’m not convinced their accusations were substantiated. Anyway, I like the app and the hardware. I don’t have need of it often, but when I do I will continue to use it. It’s quite well done and has an enormous database of all sorts of devices. So to start it does work very well but u need an accessory.. I was able to get mine off amazon by searching IR blasted iPhone. I got the one made by USAMS for $7. Why it never worked for anyone else is Bc NO iPhone comes with an IR blaster. Some Samsung phones do but not iPhone. IR blaster is in every lil remote u have. It's how it "talks" to your tv, projector, whatever. So without an IR blaster the app won't work.
