## Newest reviews (16 of 129)

### 2/5 — Too buggy, Reddit API issues

*2024-09-05, version 1.2.22*

“Too Many Requests”, and I got logged off and couldn’t log in again due to OAuth issues.

### 2/5 — Stopped working

*2024-07-17, version 1.2.22*

The app stopped working about a week ago on all my devices. Don't use it. Uninstalled.

### 3/5 — Incredible, but.

*2024-05-30, version 1.2.22*

“Too Many Requests” every time I try to refresh my feed is a killer. Will happily change to 5/5 if this gets resolved.

### 3/5 — Love the app but can’t get it to work the majority of the time

*2024-05-27, version 1.2.22*

It’s a great browser; however, I had to make the switch to a different app because the majority of the time I try to open it a red flagged message appears at the top of the screen that essentially says an error occurred

### 4/5 — What does “too many requests” mean?

*2024-05-24, version 1.2.22*

I really really love this app, but I always have a problem either when the app opens or I try to post a comment, a red banner pops up that says too many requests and nothing loads - even if you exit and go back in….. SO FRUSTRATING

I don’t know why it happens or what it means?

### 2/5 — UX is a bit janky

*2024-05-18, version 1.2.22*

There are things I like and hate about this app.

I feel general scrolling and displaying of content is better then normal Reddit. But sometimes you’re forced in to a web view to see content from Reddit.

Like image carousels. I read a lot of comics from r/comics and being forced in to a web view and having large buttons eat up image real estate does not feel good.

### 1/5 — Too Many Requests

*2024-05-10, version 1.2.22*

App just doesn’t work and won’t load.

### 3/5 — Why can’t you flair or add photos?

*2024-05-03, version 1.2.22*

Can’t flair a post. Some posts with images don’t post and say “invalid image.” Kind of useless except for reading or commenting. Can’t do much for submitting. Should be fixed. Otherwise it’s a fun app. Could be perfect.

### 4/5 — Could make improvements, but already is an improvement as is.

*2024-05-01, version 1.2.22*

There’s many things this app can do to make it far more customizable and better than the other Reddit clients, but in the current state? It’s better than the Reddit app.

### 2/5 — Ads that pause media

*2024-04-23, version 1.2.22*

I wrote of this before but it’s bot going to be fixed as the app is dead. Rip any alternative for IOS that doesn’t insist that they “have” to charge

### 2/5 — Pokes to review

*2024-04-20, version 1.2.22*

Stop asking me to review your app when I’ve just downloaded it

### 3/5 — Stop with the popup telling me to rate the app!

*2024-03-24, version 1.2.22*

Only rating it to get rid of the popup

### 1/5 — Doesn't do spoiler text

*2024-03-01, version 1.2.22*

This app doesn't do spoiler text correctly

### 1/5 — Quit with the popup’s

*2024-02-26, version 1.2.22*

Every 5 minutes there’s a dumb popup asking me to rate. Here is your rating.

### 1/5 — Too many requests

*2024-02-04, version 1.2.22*

Constantly crashing and saying too many requests with normal browsing.

### 1/5 — Too many requests

*2024-01-04, version 1.2.22*

Cant even use the app…constantly tells me “too many requests” and is incapable of loading content

Also, make a feature for collapsing comments like the original Reddit has. Nobody wants to scroll that much makes my thumb ache.

If such a feature exists that’s my b but as far as I can tell there isn’t much in the way of personalizing in account settings

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This is old and doesn’t work anymore

*2025-01-07, version 1.2.22*

What the title said.

### 1/5 — It asked for a review

*2024-11-08, version 1.2.22*

OK :)

### 1/5 — Fresh Phone, Fresh Download = No Dice

*2024-10-24, version 1.2.22*

Looks nice in the pics and would be great to use the app. But try to sign in with an account?

`Error: Invalid request to Oauth API`

Lovely stuff.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work any more, STAY AWAY

*2024-08-17, version 1.2.22*

Don’t know why but all it does is show Unauthorized. Reddit wants to continue to ban communication, we’ll just stop using it.

### 1/5 — Good When it Works

*2024-07-21, version 1.2.22*

This app has a nice UI. I wanted something clean coming from Apollo. But it literally crashes 90% of the time. I always get a “Too many requests” error which ultimately leads to a crash. Can’t recommend the app as is.

Update: Does not work anymore. I get an error on every startup

### 1/5 — Stopped working

*2024-07-20, version 1.2.22*

I loved this app, but recently it stopped working, just says “unauthorized”. Glad to see from another reviewer it’s not just me - I guess this one is done too :(. No more alternatives to the worse official app I guess.

### 1/5 — straight up doesn't work

*2024-07-18, version 1.2.22*

love that there are options besides the official app, but this one doesn't work. I just see "unauthorized" for every account and every request. no explanation for why this is the case.

### 1/5 — Can’t Reply, Uninstalled

*2024-06-24, version 1.2.22*

I typed a response and went to post it. Reno says “not enough space on device.” 🤣 I have a 256GB phone with 100GB stored. I cut and pasted my response. This time the error was “data not in correct format.” 🙄 I used the Reddit app and posted my pasted content without issue. Uninstalled Reno.

### 1/5 — Always crashing

*2024-05-28, version 1.2.22*

Piece of junk app can’t be used for more than 5 minutes before it crashes. And it won’t load anything up for hours after crashing so you’re basically screwed out of entertainment. And before I get the same generic robo response, yes it’s updated, yes my phone is updated, yes I have deleted and reinstalled and yes I have done whatever it is you’re about to say. Fix this garbage app. Or better yet, I’ll just use something else

### 1/5 — Nothing is as good as Apollo was.

*2024-05-23, version 1.2.22*

Reddit admins ready screwed the pooch. The site has suffered.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Actually usable UI compared to other apps

*2024-06-30, version 1.2.22*

Actually usable compared to other third party apps

### 5/5 — Reno review

*2024-04-15, version 1.2.22*

Reno is actually good! Also the fact you can allow the app to work even though Reddit‘s developer thing is paid is good for everyone.

### 5/5 — Perfectly designed Reddit app

*2024-02-15, version 1.2.22*

I’m not sure what it is with Reddit, but it’s seem to be in a evergrowing downfall, after trying most of these Reddit-style apps. I concluded with reno to be the best just because of its simplicity and usability. The buttons are where I want, gestures are right. Good work reno!

### 5/5 — Getting close

*2024-02-03*

First off, love the UI! The app is clean and functional and not too crowded, well done.

For the most part this client has everything I need with the exception of making sharing easier. Specifically I would love to share posts as images. The app can share posts, but it essentially shares a link to Reddit . I’d love a way to share just an image, especially so that I can share things with friends and family who don’t use Reddit.

### 5/5 — Better alternative

*2023-09-28, version 1.2.22*

Takes some getting used to but crashes less than the terrible official app.

### 5/5 — It’s a wonderful alternative

*2023-07-31, version 1.2.22*

Yeah… I’m an Apollo gal. While I still rarely use Reddit, this has been the only alternative I feel comfortable using.

### 5/5 — Best App I’ve Tried

*2023-01-31*

I’ve used Swipe, Apollo, and the reason official app. This is the best one. I wish you could see upvoted comments on accounts. I like seeing popular pages most upvoted comment. I can’t on this. Not a big deal. Format is nice and instantly understood how it works. I like that i can sort by rising on here too

### 5/5 — Awesome client

*2022-11-26, version 1.2.22*

This is a good Reddit client, no clutter and this brings the old design of the original Reddit app which a lot of user wants. Not much to think of any improvement honestly, I just hope it doesn’t gobble battery in the background.

### 5/5 — Minimal and elegant design

*2022-10-13, version 1.2.22*

I love using this! I love the simple design which is really nice and unique! Plus, it uses less storage. Only thing is the login process kept redirecting but that was Reddit and not this app. 5/5 :)

### 5/5 — Solid app with some issues

*2022-10-09, version 1.2.22*

The only problems I’ve run into so far are improperly un-nested comments that should be nested. Once there are no more ads and the nesting issues are solved, should be good to go.
