### 2/5 — Crashes immediately

*2024-12-23, version 1.1.2*

This app connects and then crashes 9 out of 10 times when I open it. Not sure what might make it less prone to crashing but it could really use some attention from the developers.

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2024-11-10, version 1.1.2*

I can’t believe Renogy who makes excellent products has released (and updated) such a terrible app. The charts are clunky and can’t scroll to different dates, 2016 is still displayed at the bottom corner, the battery voltage only takes one point per day so you can’t see a nice curve, only a 5 day spikey mess. It does handle the real-time charge current and battery voltage readings well, so that’s a plus. Please do better.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2024-10-28, version 1.1.2*

This app looks like a teenager slapped it together, its brutal. Between this and the DChome app theres some ux thats just missing… dealing with voltage on a system who would think its ok to blindly use 12v settings in 24v mode. But buried in a manual an astrix say they automatically get doubled…. I’ll never buy another renogy product after seeing this.

### 1/5 — Not professional

*2024-10-02, version 1.1.2*

Echoing what others have said - there aee just so many bugs in the app that it’s nearly useless.

It feels like a hobby given how poor the interfaces and how many books they are. It hardly seems like an app from a professional company that delivers pretty high-quality batteries.

Obviously they don’t care about it as it hasn’t been worked on in over a year.

### 1/5 — App Development Challange

*2024-08-11, version 1.1.2*

/* Prevent App crash user expierence */
If ( monthExist ) {
    doShowChart(month);
}
else {
    doShowMessage(“Month not found.“);
}

But NOOBs are unable to check valid state conditions!!! 😂🤔😉

### 1/5 — Renogy

*2024-07-16, version 1.1.2*

Such an effort connecting devices on this app, always crashing. Just disappointing when it’s connect to your everyday vechil that you rely on. It’s 2024 Renogy crew update your shi

### 2/5 — This app is a Renogy-deterrent.

*2024-05-30, version 1.1.2*

This app is so poorly written it makes me question if I’ll ever buy more Renogy products. Why invest in a platform that isn’t interested in providing a higher quality product?

It gets a second star only because it was easy to pair the Bluetooth module and it does provide minimal data.

### 1/5 — Most annoying app ever

*2024-05-08, version 1.1.2*

Why is it if you go to charts page you have to delete the app and download it again cause there is no way to go back to previous page. If you want to change the battery perimeters it makes you enter a password…..but there is no way to sign up or create an account to get such password…..you need a password …. But no way to find out what the dam password is.

### 1/5 — Dringend Update benötigt

*2024-04-30, version 1.1.2*

### 1/5 — App Crap

*2023-11-19, version 1.1.2*

App keeps crashing and the password that cant be changed is nonsense. These Lithium batteries cost $950 each. What good is a password if everyone has the same one and an app that crashes 10 times a day???

### 1/5 — Useless info

*2023-10-13, version 1.1.2*

The only thing good about this app if you can say that, is you can check your voltage. That’s it. Lots of other useless info. Password input that you are not prompted to create in the first place. Load data does not work. It would be nice to see the programmers actually streamline this app and have just the basic info actually work but I feel like they just gave up.

### 1/5 — Worst app on my phone

*2023-10-09, version 1.1.2*

Too many bugs to count. Correctly reads the voltage of my batteries and that's about the only reliable thing about it.

### 3/5 — Appalling app

*2023-09-06, version 1.1.2*

This app never works all it does is shuts down no matter what you do. Considering the BT device was on the dear side it’s not worth buying as it never works.

### 1/5 — Don’t use

*2023-06-21, version 1.1.2*

App is never updated so never works properly. Neither does their other app dc home. Would not buy Renogy again

### 1/5 — What a Joke

*2023-05-14, version 1.1.2*

Charge you an absolute bloody fortune to get the whole system and with Bluetooth feature onto the device and then do a crappy app that keeps showing system error every time you login, never remembers much information about the battery amount. Ridiculous

### 1/5 — Wish it worked

*2023-04-30, version 1.1.2*

So, tried this with 2 new 200Ah batteries. Tried to connect - sometimes it would see one, sometimes two, sometimes none. Trying to connect would show “connected”…but not show any information about the state of the battery. Completely useless application.

### 1/5 — Dongle/Bluetooth never works

*2023-04-06, version 1.1.2*

Constantly drops the device. Have to reload all the time. Now it won’t find the device at all. Have gone thru three or four dongles. Taking out my Renogy solar controller and replacing it with a Victron.

### 1/5 — Hopeless

*2023-02-07, version 1.1.2*

No change of opinion since my last review. Connection problems even over just 5mt. Figures shown in lists are switched in graph mode, e.g. Power generated shows as power use same day in graph mode. In graph mode, year 2022 is selected yet graph is showing 2016 and this cannot be changed. Constantly disconnects and reconnects while in use. Considering the cost of the equipment, you would think they could provide an app that works. I’ve gone back to eco-worthy where I’ve had a far better service.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2023-01-30, version 1.1.2*

Freezes or fails to connect to device often. Parameters shown on Rover SCC are not the same as those shown in the app (ex - 7 charging amps on unit and 5 on app). Numbers (light blue) are very hard to read on light background. Overall a very amateur attempt at an app - given the cost of the Bluetooth module Renogy should do much better.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Crashes multiple times

*2026-07-30, version 1.1.2*

Either my equipment is failing on the connectivity or this app is of no use! Can’t rely on it especially at times of emergency when trying to read my off grid system.

### 1/5 — No updates in 3 years, dead app

*2026-04-05, version 1.1.2*

This app causes my Renogy 3500 to overload, and force restart.. so if you want an app that could damage your system, then this is it. Been running my setup for three years with no issues, other than this app that was pulled from the Android store, but for some reason still hasn't been pulled for iOS. It doesn't read voltages correctly, and if you try changing the settings to the correct voltage and battery type, the inverter locked up, fans go to full speed, and after a few minutes will start to work again, if your lucky enough that it hasn't permanently damaged your equipment.

### 1/5 — Worked until I added solar now crashes

*2025-10-21, version 1.1.2*

Title says it all- worked fine until I added a solar panel just now, and now the app crashes every time I try to open it. Worthless.

### 1/5 — Kids can make even better app than this

*2025-10-17, version 1.1.2*

Brainless person designed this app

### 1/5 — Needs to be properly recreated

*2025-09-11, version 1.1.2*

The app is useless. Shuts down every time the charger connects to it. There’s no use in having it when it won’t function. I would really love is renogy was to actually fix it so it’s functional. Otherwise it’s better off buying a different brand with a working app.

### 1/5 — Crashes every time

*2025-07-22, version 1.1.2*

Trying to work out what sort of Ampage each source is putting in but soon as you turn on any charge import the app crashes

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work anymore

*2025-07-21, version 1.1.2*

This app barely ever works but since the new os update it can’t connect at all

### 1/5 — Crashed within seconds

*2025-02-23, version 1.1.2*

Please fix this.

### 1/5 — Unbrauchbar

*2025-02-10, version 1.1.2*

Das ist die letzte App hier funktioniert überhaupt nichts.

### 1/5 — Hoped for better

*2025-02-07, version 1.1.2*

Tried Renogy BT after the DC home app failed miserably. Unfortunately this faired little better. Paired to a BT-2 connected to Lithium batteries, 4 connected together on a bus, thought it would communicate to all 4 but no only 1. Then very limited and suspect info, takes forever to read info and app locks up. So BT-2 is back in its box and app unlikely to be used again. Fair to say I hope Renogy hardware is better than the software.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Renogy bt

*2022-05-26, version 1.1.1*

No issues with bt app or charge controller, iPhone 7plus connects everytime, great to see what my solar system is pumping out the state of my battery.

### 5/5 — Works well

*2021-03-27, version 1.1.1*

I’m sitting at the campsite near the van and my iPhone X is connecting fine. The app is updating real time.

### 5/5 — Nice App

*2020-07-01*

Updated app works great. Using it on the Rover 40 and 100. Password change is easy using + in upper right corner of settings. Set battery to User and customized battery settings. Note must read settings first and once changes made press set to save. Better documentation would be appreciated along with better resolution on graphs in record and ability to print & export data. Overall very good app for monitoring & setting up Rover with BT module.

### 5/5 — Password change!!

*2020-06-19*

If you click the + sign in the upper right of the Monitoring screen there is several options there and one of them is “change password”. Overall the app does what it is supposed to do.

### 5/5 — Works well

*2019-05-29*

I have no issues connecting at all. The information is all updated and stored. Updates nicely in real time and allows me to track what is happening through the controller. I do have some other devices that allow me track what actually makes it into the battery bank but I do not use the load outputs. The only thing I noticed is that the numbers for generating capacity are mistakenly stored in power consumption until you drill down.

### 5/5 — Works great for me

*2019-02-21*

With all the reviews saying to fix the app, I thought I would just put my experience in. I have an iPhone X and have had no trouble with this app. I never have to reconnect, I just open the app and it connects to my system. I was really leery to purchase the Bluetooth module because of all the bad reviews. I’m glad I did, it works perfectly for me. Just one users experience.

### 4/5 — Very Useful App

*2023-08-18, version 1.1.2*

I use this to switch my MPPT controller on and off by changing the max charge voltage setting. I have set my own User profile for charging my LiFePo battery. It works with my BT1 dongle. That’s in the motorhome wardrobe and I can connect from about 4 meters away. As it’s on my driveway, I don’t have to go outside!
I find it really very useful. So much better that trying to do stuff on the controller itself.
It shows me the panel’s present output and the present level and mode of charging. Volts, Amps and Watts. It’s not perfect as it always shows capacity as 100% but it’s so useful otherwise and, anyway, I can deduce that quantity from the voltage displayed. I’d be lost without it. Maybe they have improved it and/or the BT1 dongle since the bad reviews, here?
(I couldn’t get the DC app to do anything useful!)

### 4/5 — Works For Me

*2022-07-14, version 1.1.1*

I was definitely concerned about the app based on other reviews. I have had no issues so far. Data is interesting for sure so I’m glad I purchased the Bluetooth module. I’m hoping they improve and extend more data into the graph format. The good news is that the app seems reliable.

### 4/5 — Changed my rating

*2021-12-21, version 1.1.1*

Uninstalled and reinstalled and now it works so I changed my rating. Once my panels are installed I’ll check it out more but at least it’s working now

### 4/5 — Pretty good, still needs a little work…

*2021-08-03, version 1.1.1*

I like this app because I can be inside the house and monitor the solar charging. Bluetooth unfortunately is a very limited range system, so I am surprised they don’t just make the controller WiFi accessible, but when you can buy a Renogy controller (or many others) for $20 you can’t expect to get everything.

The cumulative numbers are somehow off. It shows today I discharged 11Ah, charged 24Ah, seems correct, but YTD totals
I don’t know where in the equipment the inaccuracies are, but they are there. : charge 1917Ah, discharge 11Ah. That can’t be right. I’ve seen 240W charging from a single 70W panel, normally I get readings far more correct (I think). The main screen slwill show 39W charging, go to the next screen and the highest charge rate for the day is 38W.
