More accurate numbers on the Annual tab and in the property detail view.

Best Month and Worst Month on the Annual tab no longer include the current month or any future months — since those months don't have all their expenses and income logged yet, they could unfairly show up as your "best" or "worst" simply for being incomplete. Now only fully elapsed months are considered.

We also fixed a bug where a recurring expense with no end date — an ongoing bill like a mortgage or HOA fee — could silently disappear from a property's monthly totals, its shared-expense split calculation, and its month-to-month and year-over-year comparison charts. Open-ended recurring expenses are now counted everywhere they should be.

**Contractors — Your Service Providers, All in One Place**
A new **Contractors** tab lets you keep every plumber, electrician, landscaper, and handyman you rely on in one place, independent of any single property:
- Tag each contractor with one or more trades from 16 categories (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fencing, Masonry, Cleaning, Flooring, Carpentry, and more) — no need to force a multi-skilled contractor into a single category
- Import a contact directly from your iPhone Contacts — name, company, phone, and email fill in automatically for you to review before saving
- Swipe on any contractor to call, text, or email them right from the list
- Search contractors by name, company, or trade
- Mark your go-to contractors as favorites

**Rent Payment Tracker**
Each lease now has a dedicated payment tracker so you always know who has paid and who hasn't:
- Open the tracker from any lease row to see a month-by-month grid covering the full lease period
- Mark each month as Paid, Partial, Late, or Waived
- Logging a payment automatically records it as income — no double-entry needed
- Use the Backfill button to mark all past months as paid in one tap, then edit any exceptions individually

**Bug Fix**
Fixed an issue where the property list showed a "No Properties" message when you had properties shared with you but none of your own. Shared properties are now correctly recognized so the list always reflects your full portfolio.

**iCloud Sharing — Now Fully Managed In-App**
The sharing experience is now complete end-to-end inside the app:
- A new **Shares** section in Settings shows all properties you are sharing ("Shared by Me") and all properties shared with you ("Shared with You")
- Stop sharing or leave a shared property directly from that screen
- Accept a share invitation by pasting the link in the Shares screen — no need to tap the link in Messages every time
- You'll receive a notification when a collaborator accepts your invitation, and the app checks for new acceptances automatically every time it comes to the foreground

**Delete All Data**
A new "Delete All Data" option in Settings → Data Management lets you wipe all local and iCloud data for a clean start. Requires explicit confirmation before anything is deleted.

**Access Codes for Leases**
Store a numeric access code (front door, gate, building entry) directly on each lease. The code is hidden by default — tap the lock icon to reveal it.

**Backup & Restore Improvements**
- Backup files no longer include properties shared with you — only your own properties are exported
- Restoring from a backup now generates fresh records, so any new shares you create after a restore work correctly (previously, restored properties could inherit stale CloudKit identifiers that broke sharing)

**Bug Fixes**
- Shared properties now reliably appear in the collaborator's property list after accepting an invitation
- "Stop Sharing" now correctly removes the share instead of leaving it in a broken state
- Accepting a share no longer fails with a sync error if the shared store was previously reset
- Backup export no longer silently skips open-ended recurring expenses (those without an end date). If any expenses were missing from a previous backup, re-export to get a complete file
- Various iCloud sync reliability and threading fixes

"What's New" — v2.9
Organize your expenses, split smarter, and see the full picture for any year.

**Expense categories.** Every recurring and variable expense can now be tagged with a category — Maintenance, Utilities, Insurance, Property Tax, Mortgage, HOA, Cleaning, Landscaping, Management, or Other. A color-coded badge appears on each expense row, and a new "Spending by Category" breakdown in the Insights tab shows where your money is going this month, with percentage bars for each category.

**Smarter expense splitting.** When splitting expenses with someone, you can now turn on "Deduct Income First." The month's rental income is subtracted from total expenses before dividing, so you only split what the property actually costs you out of pocket. If income covers everything, the split shows $0.00.

**Annual summary tab.** Every property now has a third tab — Annual. Pick any year with the navigation arrows and get a full picture: total income, expenses, and net for the year; a monthly bar chart; a 12-month breakdown table; best and worst months; and a yearly spending-by-category view.
