While other e-commerce and sharing economy, on-demand companies take large percentages (20 or more) commission on your goods and work we chose to take nothing and never will. Rentah adds a 5% surcharge on all rentals paid for by the person requesting it. Our referral plan is simple…if someone signs up for Rentah via your personal link we will split our 5% earnings from your friend 50/50 forever. This is not a pyramid scheme, just fair compensation for helping us build our community and user base. Example: If your friend Andrew rent’s $100 dollars’ worth of tools for a DIY project we both get 2.50 cents from the 5% commission. There is no phone or email available for customer service, just chat and that is not always available! When I did get a rep it was pointless because the problem was not resolved and I missed out on a potential sale. You can almost get anything you need. I recently went on a camping trip and got most my equipment from here. It was way cheaper to rent them for a few days rather then buying them and waste so much money. I don't go camping a lot so this was perfect to get things I needed for my trip. As easy as it was to rent items it's just as easy to put up items for rent. The thing that really got me was you can look for people who will help you work on your personal projects.
