After the first location none of the other city’s save what you’ve done and they all reset kind of defeats the purpose of striving to the next locations if nothing is saved.

First location is fine, except not all of the special “yellow” spots open and unlock. The second and third locations to open will not retain the progress. They will remain open, however they will not retain the homes and special locations that are unlocked and added. Hard to move on past if have to keep starting over those levels.
