I showed my confirmation, and the agent said they do not accept Rentalcars.com insurance. Customer service at Rentalcars.com was unhelpful: they sent conflicting, templated email replies, redirected me through lengthy back-and-forths, and ultimately refused to issue a refund. The experience was time-consuming, expensive, and avoidable. I cannot say this strongly enough: I do not recommend using this company or their app. Thank god my credit card company was able to resolve my dispute and credit me for the charges. When you go to pick up the car the provider asks you to pay extra charges wich are not comunicated during the reservation. If you don’t want to take the car due to total cost, they consider that you canceled the reservation and you lose the money already paid. I booked my car for 4 days in Nice-France, at 7:30am for pickup at 9:00am. When I arrived Hertz booth, they denied me the car as I didn’t have my physical license on me. I reached out to the app’s chat at 9:30am to cancel my reservation (2 hours after I made it). They kept playing games and denied me full refund or even credit. I’ve been using this app for over 3 years and this is no way of treating a customer. ### 1/5 — Supporting&Highlighting Scammers *2025-10-29, version 2025.10.1* I booked a car for 5 days via this app from Movida Drive on Holidays. The rating of supplier was 8. However, in all other sites including Google reviews, everybody reported scam for Movida Lisbon. Also, the app charged for full protection, while Movida did the same. Контакт з компанією неможливий, на емейл ніхто не відповідає, вказані телефони відключені. I booked a car at Malpemza airport, for which they took a prepayment of half the cost. Upon arriving at the airport, I was refused a car rant due to the lack of some special drivers license, which wasn’t mentioned before the order. They said they never had a sports car so it is fault by rental car app due to lack information. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Full of dodgy car companies *2026-06-03, version 2026.3.2* This app is full of dodgy car rental companies. They do absolutely no vetoing of companies that rip off customers. They do not clearly show T&C for each individual dealer and instead just show broad Rentalcars.com T&C which do not detail each individual company T&Cs leaving customers unware of the nastiest rip off deals these car dealers impose, such as cancellation and a booking if one shows up later than 1 h even in case of flight delay (they expect one to phone them from the flight to let them know!!!!). Absolutely insane and obscene as they also charge a cancellation fee!! But when one books and arrived to the counter and the car is not ready, the customer is not entitled to a refund to compensate for the delay neither entitled to cancel because the company doesn’t have the car ready on time. They also have an added feature where you can asl them to pick up the car from the place of your choosing for a reasonable fee! Also worth mentioning Seiyon was the only one who had a 7 seater offering so u guys are lifesavers! They even have a Velfyre in stock. Thanks again Seiyon team. Service terbaek!
