### 2/5 — Not Sophisticated, but functional

*2026-02-04, version 2.6*

First off, the user experience is very poor: username non-retention, hidden buttons on some pages/windows (you literally have to just press somewhere at the bottom for Home, Maintenance, Billing/Payment, and Account screens), and the various function screens don’t fit completely within my iPhone SE screen, with some and you cannot zoom in/out.

That said, when you do manage to get to a function (I.e., Billing) they actually work well. My Rent has never been late, and my banking info has always been retained (important items).

### 2/5 — Doesn't work

*2025-07-04, version 2.6*

When I open the app. There's a loading icon on the sign in page. It never stops and I'm not able to log in it's been going on for months. I have to use the browser version instead!

### 1/5 — The worst customer service/experience all around

*2019-12-08, version 2.6*

The app is clearly an MVP product with lots of bells and whistles, but none actually works as intended. Recently, I have had to make a switch with my payment method before my rent was due. After all the trouble getting my account properly setup, the rent payment went thru from the wrong account, instead of the new one I had setup. I called and emailed customer service multiple times right after it had happened to clear the issue/cancel the transaction...etc. But the customer service phone line is an offshore service desk that only takes messages and has no knowledge or power to do anything. THE WORST was when their Head of Customer Support, Edu, yelled at me over the phone, blamed his colleagues for relaying incorrect information, and said that the issue with the payment was on me and that I should be penalized for the faulty transaction bc it was not their problem.

AFTER ONE WHOLE MONTH of back and forth between my landlord and myself calling and emailing rentigo, the problem went unresolved and was a waste of everyone’s time, in addition to having the worst customer experience.

If you are a landlord, save yourself a lot of headache and go find something else better for you and your tenants.

### 1/5 — Barely functional

*2019-11-13, version 2.6*

Double check that your payments are going through. The app says everything’s all good when there were backed up issues with payment. Support barely exists

### 1/5 — Broken

*2019-06-01, version 2.6*

The app hardly ever works. Looks like it hasn’t been updated since 2011. I do not feel comfortable relying on this app to pay my rent on time and wish my building would change providers.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2019-05-01, version 2.6*

This is the worst app I have ever used. I will likely move apartment so I don’t have to use this app. Really, really terrible.

Makes you update your password monthly
Rent amounts are regularly incorrect
Auto pay feature doesn’t work risking late fees
Interface is crap

It’s just awful!

### 1/5 — F*** this app and everyone who runs it

*2018-12-31, version 1.8*

RentiGarbage, if you want to have to call their god awful customer service every month to get a new password, pay a service fee on your rent, and when you do call to get a new password not be able to reach anyone for a week this is the app to use. Thanks for making my life stressful

### 1/5 — Piece of Garbage App

*2018-12-31, version 1.8*

Every month my password gets deleted and i have to reset it to something completely different because my password has “expired” in the month i didn’t sign in, since i only pay rent once a month?? The customer service is nonexistent, they had a “message office” that is the only person you can talk to, and they have no power to help with anything in the App since it’s not their app and they LOVE telling you so. DO NOT USE THIS APP OR YOUR TENANTS WILL MOVE OUT. it also charges you an extra $30 on your rent if you’re even two minutes passed Midnight the day it was due!(: Super awful app and i’m definitely deleting and moving houses so i don’t have to use it!

### 4/5 — No complaints

*2018-11-10, version 1.8*

Nice not to have to go to the bank every week to deposit checks. Makes managing maintenance calls easier. Wish they would let me take half payments over the app but otherwise no complaints.

### 4/5 — Makes it easier

*2018-11-05, version 1.8*

Pretty solid if you’re a landlord and you’re trying to make your job easier without spending any money. Only thing I don’t like is they made me list out all the property owners before they would let me use the app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This app is trash!!!!

*2024-04-25, version 2.6*

I give it a STRING -5 star rating !!!!

### 1/5 — Awful

*2023-10-14, version 2.6*

this app is horrendous. it hasn’t been updated in 4 years. notifications are DAYS late. i’ve been trying to log in for almost an hour. ridiculous. anyone using this app to collect rent should rethink.

### 1/5 — Weak

*2022-09-05, version 2.6*

This app is weak whenever your rent is due the app has the most issues. Not allowing you to pay rent then you have to go out of your way to get a money order or risk having a late fee even though it’s not your fault the rent is late.

### 1/5 — Locked out

*2022-04-26, version 2.6*

I have been locked out my account for months, and no one from customer service has reached out to me to help me restore my account.

### 1/5 — would rate 0 stars if I could

*2022-01-12, version 2.6*

this is the worst app i’ve ever used. I’m order to do anything I have to close and open the app at least 3 times before it actually become responsive. Its absolutely horrible and a complete waste of time

### 1/5 — Completely Unusable

*2021-09-15, version 2.6*

The user experience is awful. It’s not a native app, but just a series of web views and they’re all very buggy. Forms are difficult to fill out. Buttons intermittently can’ be pressed. I tried to log in with Facebook and just got stuck on a white screen. I’m also unable to verify my payment method, even though I’m entering in the correct amounts just deposited in my account for verification.

### 1/5 — Not Letting Me Log In

*2021-07-14, version 2.6*

My first week trying to login was threw Aloft Management kept logging me out as I closed the app and when I went to try again it keeps saying we don’t have you as a member in our files, now trying this app and from 2 moths ago from when I first moved in to my apartment to today 7/14/21 still says the same thing. At the start I kept trying EVERYTHING as far as, password resets, new emails, different phone numbers .. nothing works . My number keeps saying “Auth_Error” or user not found .. lucky I’m in a apartment I can just got the front desk.

### 1/5 — Advice for Prospective Property Managers

*2020-10-16, version 2.6*

I’m a tenant. The past two months when I’ve tried to pay my rent, I’ve been locked out. No reason why. They imply to the landlord that it is me. I logged in and paid my rent with no incident for four months in a row when we started using. The next time i went to pay the rent I was locked out. Nothing happened in between. I called my landlord, she called Rentigo, they blamed it on me and unlocked it. I paid my rent. The very next time I go to log in and I’m locked out again. Ugh. I’m trying to give you my money and I can’t. This is a symptom of larger issues.

### 1/5 — Processing fees👎🏽

*2020-09-11*

The app forgets my password (I make sure I write my pw down so I know it’s correct) making me have to select reset password however it still doesn’t allow me to set a new password I also can go without the processing fees which vary depending on the amount your paying, it atleast should be a SET amount...just another way for them to make money I guess. We should have the OPTION because I’d rather go back to sending it through the mail!

### 1/5 — Horrible renting app

*2020-06-02, version 2.6*

First off, the app never remembers you even though you click “remember me” every time you sign in. I have had so many issues from the renters side, thank god my land lord is chill. Land lords, payments will be late due to the app. When you set auto pay- that also doesn’t work all the time. Their support is also terrible when you try to get anything fixed. They snap and are not patient. When I called in they asked me for my password. I work for a tech company and no one should ever ask for your password. The company should have a way into you account. I though that was very sketchy. Save the headaches and choose a different app if you can.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love this app !

*2019-11-13, version 2.6*

This app takes some time getting used to but Rentigo’s support team and their online resources have been helpful in answering my questions. It’s definitely helped me be more productive. I can spend more of my time filling vacancies and less on tracking down late payments.

### 5/5 — Very useful !

*2019-11-08, version 2.6*

Totally a time saver ! Mobile payments are so much more convenient for me and my tenants. The payment method verification was tedious but I understand that this is simply a security feature. Thank you Rentigo!

### 5/5 — Have been using Rentigo for my property in Queens...

*2019-08-01, version 2.6*

Have been using Rentigo for my property in Queens for a few months now. I don’t have to track down so many late Payments now, which is great! Have had a good experience with the app

### 5/5 — Straightforward and saves me time

*2019-07-26, version 2.6*

Really straightforward which I like. Autopay has saved me from late fees so many times. Kind of a pain to verify your card but when I actually called support they said it was for security reasons, which I completely get. Tip: set up autopay and you won’t have the need to continuously login.

### 5/5 — Helps save me time

*2019-07-02, version 2.6*

My schedule is always very busy but Rentigo has helped me set my rent on Autopay and every 2nd of the month my rent gets deducted. Haven’t had any issues with the app. Signing up is simple

### 5/5 — Great App for investors/ Landlords

*2019-02-16, version 2.6*

I’ve been using this app for the past year or so, I can’t express how much stress and issues this app saved me. Very easy to use, manage and control. I have a few buildings and everything need to do/ manage on my properties is directed to one channel and to this app.

### 5/5 — Great service!

*2018-12-07, version 1.8*

One of my tenants notified me that his password didn’t work. Wasn't able to help him but he called and got the password reset through customer service. Only hiccup I have come across so far, otherwise good to go.

### 5/5 — No issues

*2018-11-12, version 1.8*

Pays my rent every month. Never had an issue with it.

### 5/5 — Auto Rent Payments

*2018-11-07, version 1.8*

Pretty easy to use. Adding a bank account is familiar if you’ve ever used PayPal. Paying rent is two taps or you can set it up to pay for you every month. Not as polished as the competition but also doesn’t try to sell you stuff. My only complaint is that you can’t change your email yourself without asking their support department, but they say it’s for security and I believe them so I’m not taking off a star.

### 5/5 — Couldn’t be more pleased!

*2018-11-01, version 1.8*

Most property management apps are “free” this one is actually free. I have 100+ tenants and I’ve spent exactly $0 ever.
