Get a better app development team plz ### 1/5 — They won’t filter false listings *2025-07-23, version 2.0.47* They let the apartment company’s post there apartments as houses to get more views. Only thing is there’s a bug with the bedroom search, I can select it but when it comes to actually choosing how many bedrooms, it doesn’t do anything. But, I downloaded because of the features on the website; like being able to pay rent. Kinda shocked it’s not even a feature on the app. Are you planning on upgrading any time soon ### 2/5 — So many flaws *2023-05-02, version 2.0.33* This app doesn’t remember login in info, making you log in again and again. It doesn’t remember what properties you’ve already looked at, only the ones you saved (so you end up looking at all the ones you weren’t interested in over and over). And worse if all doesn’t let you pay rent on the app! You have to use the website and web browser! There is a reason Zillow is favored and I am deleting this one. ### 3/5 — Great to find places. Tech could improve *2023-03-25, version 2.0.31* This app is great to find places on. Filters are helpful and mostly accurate except for when people list their basement apt as a home. Applying through Rentler is great! The price is great! No hard inquiries on credit. What needs to improve: photos! Poor handling of photos on the web and app. Can’t see the entire photo unless I tap twice because the software is cropping the photos on listing. So to see the whole photo tap twice on said photo. Then I can’t scroll thru photos quickly tho. This really slows down the speed and efficacy of looking thru listings. And They are cropped enough that most of the time I want to see the whole photo. Next.. the directions link simply doesn’t work. Doesn’t matter the listing, it fails. Photos are massively important! Directions help but not as important as the photos. ### 1/5 — False marketing on free credit reporting *2023-01-05, version 2.0.31* Although Rentler’s marketing claims free credit reporting, this feature is only supported for properties located in Utah. Any other out-of-state properties will be redirected to an affiliate company TenantCloud which incurs a regular monthly charge. ### 2/5 — Can't even log in *2022-11-11, version 2.0.31* It's silly that in 2022 an app in the app store would still lack iPad support, but when pulling up this app and attempting to use the "sign in" button on any page, they are all inert. ### 1/5 — Session constantly expires *2022-03-30, version 2.0.4* I sent a landlord a message using this app. I was never asked to allow notifications from this app, so I assume I won’t get any when they DO message back. On top of that, my session expires periodically, so I have to constantly sign back in. There’s no biometric auth options, so I have to type out my email and password every time. ### 1/5 — Scam *2022-01-25, version 2.0.4* They will steal your money not 1 single apartment accepts their $39.00 application ### 2/5 — Always logs me out *2022-01-24, version 2.0.4* the app is fine other than every time I open it, it tells me the session has expired and I have to login again. It doesn’t remember my email. No option for Face ID. If I go out of the app for more than an hour, I’m logged out again. Suuuuuuper time consuming. ### 4/5 — Rent price sorting *2021-12-27, version 2.0.3* I really like the app overall. It’s easy to use and accurate but I have complaint that is pretty annoying. I don’t like when you are sorting through monthly rental prices that you can only set it to “$1000 or less, or $2000 or less”, as I am looking for prices in between. It would greatly increase efficiency, especially because I am also looking for a rental in a downtown area, and it pops up a crazy amount of units within that prices range. Even adding a $1500/month or less option would be helpful. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Hassle, Frustrating *2026-03-01, version 2.3.6* Rentler app is primarily for tenants and not landlords. I wouldn't have chosen Rentler if I'd known this. They need a landlord app or fix this one so we can check payments easily on our phone. It's ridiculous having to log into the website, deal with two-factor authentication, check my email, and log back in just to see if a payment came through. Huge hassle. I DO NOT recommend Rentler! ### 1/5 — Had a rental “available” when it already sold 3 weeks prior. *2026-03-01, version 2.3.6* My husband and I applied to rent a home and went and submitted $45 for each application on Feb 21, 2026. I was checking our application process and it still says that it is pending as of February 28, 2026 so I go into look at the property and it said that it was no longer available. So I try to do a back search on Safari and come to find out the home was already sold on Feb 2, 2026. This app seems like it does rental scams to collect fraudulent application fees. Even if this is all a mistake then why would the application still to this day be “pending”. ### 1/5 — I detest this service *2026-01-27, version 2.3.4* Main points that make using Rentler suck: you can’t pay over the app, you can’t auto pay in full if your utilities are wrapped into your rent. No such thing as set it and forget it with this program. I must use it because it’s what my landlord uses but I hate Rentler it’s so I convenient. Anywhere I’ve ever rented in the past has been way early give my money. It’s ridiculous. I’m genuinely going to avoid renting with landlords that use Rentler going forward. ### 1/5 — FILTERS DO NOT WORK *2025-12-07, version 2.3.1* Filtered to just show townhomes with 3 bedrooms and it proceed to show me apartments and condos and everything else. Super annoying and not helpful at all. The website works way better. Can’t believe something as simple as filters doesn’t work on their app. ### 1/5 — 404 when trying to sign on *2025-12-05, version 2.3.1* I get a 404 trying to sign in so I cannot use the app ### 1/5 — So bad *2025-10-13, version 2.2.0* This app is a user interface nightmare. I can’t even search for a listing that I’m already interested in and know the address of. I have to search the general area and click through all of the listings to find it. It’s malfunctioning half of the time, buttons just plain don’t work. The website is just as bad. I downloaded the app hoping it would work better but it doesn’t. I’ve never wanted to continue using an app less in my life, but I have to because the landlords are using it for their background checks. ### 1/5 — So difficult to list a property *2025-08-25, version 2.1.0* Been trying to list a home to rent rooms- I’ve tried on the app and now I’m on my Mac but it’s so glitchy. I’m going to try 10 more minutes and I’ll give up. Now I have in the process of finding a long term home to occupy and find the process easy to navigate and have picked a home I like. Kathleen ### 5/5 — Terrible *2023-08-03* This app is useless to pay rent through! I can fill out an application, or search rentals through it. My landlord used it to create my entire lease. But EVERY TIME I pull up my rental via this app, it does NOT allow me to pay my rent grouch it, nor does it show my payment history. So as a renter, it’s one pointless app to download when I have to go to the Rentler web browser directly just to pull all that info up. **Developer response:** Hello! We're very sorry for the difficulties you have with using the browser version of the Rentler to pay your rent. Currently, the mobile app offers only search tools for those who are looking for places to rent. It's user friendly, just write down the name in the area where you want to search then the system will do the rest for you. I love the way it shows on the map, all available rental property along with price and pictures when you tap on it. You can request to apply or request a tour for a house you like by just a click. Also, I love the "heart" aka favorite feature so you don't loose the property which you are interested in but need more time to think about it. This app is absolutely helpful for all tenant. Easy to use, easy to apply.
