### 3/5 — Just doesn’t work

*2022-06-07, version 1.4*

Review edited after dev reply. I decided to give it 2nd go - ok it does something - it tries to count reps but it does it inaccurately. You have to do sweeping moves with your hand to read it as a rep and even doing so app miss few reps. So it is not possible to use it efficiently on the gym.

### 4/5 — Great start! But this feature is needed!

*2021-02-21, version 1.3.9*

I love how this app says what it can do and does it well. Some weight exercises work better than others for this app, and there are times it over counts or under counts. But for the most part it’s pretty accurate. There’s this one element I wish the developers would add to make this the ultimate weight rep app, and that would be to add a customizable interval timer that vibrates when it’s time for the next rep set. Accurate rep time matters in weight training as it accounts for whether you're aiming to develop muscle strength, hypertrophy, or strength endurance. Even better would be an alert/vibration for when your heart rate drops 60% of your maximum heart rate, as that’s even more accurate (but probably harder to implement) to measure time between sets. Anyway, those are my suggestions!

Thank you for making this app, as I enjoy it developers!

Best,

A personal trainer in training.

### 4/5 — Had a hard time installing, but works well

*2020-10-28*

Easiest rep counting app to use

**Developer response:** Thank you

### 2/5 — 2 stars for effort

*2020-06-19, version 1.3.9*

I installed it and uninstalled yet it won’t download on my watch also it won’t even count reps on my phone

Edit: I will do what’s suggested In the response but to lyk it doesn’t even show up in the watch app

### 1/5 — Unfortunately Not

*2020-03-04, version 1.3.8*

I tried it with some tipical strength training movements but never got a accurate or any respons/count from the app. (Watch 5)

### 2/5 — Meh

*2020-01-26, version 1.3.8*

It counts your reps pretty well but sometimes it just stops working with Apple Watch. You only get a limited time free trial before you can’t use it anymore until you pay for a subscription. I’m not sure it’s worth it

### 1/5 — Good idea which doesn’t work

*2019-12-17, version 1.3.8*

I wish it worked... but it doesn’t. I tried jumping rope and doing push ups and the best result was that I missed a lot of reps. If I wanted to switch to a manual mode and count on every touch (for example for burpees) there is no way to count it. I don’t need magic, just to keep track of my exercise.

### 1/5 — I wish this app worked for me

*2019-12-10, version 1.3.8*

I’ve been trying to use this app for my workout for several days now and it just does NOT want to count any reps. For example Ive tried bicep curls, overhead presses, face pulls, you name it. I even tried vigorously shaking it to get a reaction but still nothing. However, when I was out on the field playing soccer I had it on, it would count SOME of my arm movements when I was running? I don’t understand how this is able to track accurate reps on various body movements. I’m using an Apple Watch series 5, OS 6.1.1

Will probably try another app for the time being.

### 3/5 — Meh

*2019-10-16, version 1.3.8*

It recognizes the reps and it connects to the native health app. That’s about all it says it does and it does do it fairly well. Necessary? Not really unless you can’t count in your head how many reps you’ve done. It’s an answer to a question no one asked.

### 1/5 — Great idea but doesn't work for me.

*2019-08-03, version 1.3.8*

If this worked, it would be amazing. Sadly, it never came close for me. Managed to count maybe 4/10 reps on some exercises. Didn't even count on other exercises. Never came close for any of them. I hope the developer keeps working on the concept, but right now it is only a frustration.

### 1/5 — Will not install on V1 watch is there a fix!

*2019-06-03, version 1.3.6*

Will not install on my V1 watch. It did install on my phone 7+. Hella disappointed, now I have to continue to search for a app that will help tally pushups. From the marketing it had a lot of potential. I read a review earlier with someone that had the same issue went & I went thru the process of uninstalling & reinstall with the same results.

### 3/5 — Watch

*2019-05-20, version 1.3.4*

It will not install on my watch. They did get back to me but claimed it was issue for apple. I have a series one watch. This is the ONLY app that claims Apple Watch support that would not download on the watch and work... The only one. It downloaded on my 6s phone and would not count reps. I do not want a phone on my arm anyway.

### 3/5 — Still lags

*2019-05-12, version 1.3.4*

Still needs work, great but not fully synced

### 4/5 — Good app

*2019-05-12, version 1.3.4*

Great app to keep track of your gym training!!

### 1/5 — I don’t see the watch app on AW Series 0

*2019-04-24, version 1.3.2*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Flawed design

*2025-11-25, version 2.0.1*

This potentially excellent app is flawed by a feature, which is completely unnecessary. The count resets in some automatic manner more or less randomly. There should be a start button and a stop button. This feature renders the app completely useless. Elimination of this incorrect feature would raise my rating to five.

### 1/5 — Nie działa na Apple Watch

*2023-07-11, version 1.4*

Nie liczy samo powtórzeń. Bez sensu.

### 1/5 — Didn’t work.

*2021-10-25, version 1.4*

Sorry. But the app didn’t work well. It didn’t tap me and it did not pass a count of 4.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2021-10-05, version 1.4*

No point even explaining. Don’t bother downloading.

### 1/5 — Don’t Bother, doesn’t even work

*2021-07-10, version 1.3.9*

Downloads this app and opened it on the Apple Watch. It asks you to open the iPhone app so it can connect but never connects and got stuck on the start screen.

Waste of time and data. Save you time and look elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Won’t unlock on my watch.

*2021-05-21, version 1.3.9*

I downloaded this for my Apple Watch and says to “open the iPhone app and tap here”. I’ve tapped with my finger and with the phone itself and nothing will unlock the app on my watch. I handed no orders why the so that counts reps needs to be locked at all, but for this reason, I haven’t been able to try it. As far as I know, it doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Not a accurate at all

*2021-02-19, version 1.3.9*

Doesn’t count reps accurately. Waste of time!

### 1/5 — Poor for jump rope counting

*2021-01-17, version 1.3.9*

Did a poor job with jump rope counting. I was quite hopeful this would work but many times it simply doesn’t even detect there pattern and doesn’t count even after 50 jumps. I have to deliberately move my wrist a lot more for it to register but that affects my form. I hope this can be improved.

### 1/5 — Rep up issues...

*2020-09-26, version 1.3.9*

So I downloaded this app because I enjoy exercising and wanted something to track my reps without having to count in my head.... Yes I know, techno convenience... Well, when I do push-ups and the app enabled on my Apple Watch series 4 it doesn’t count all my reps... also, it should have a function where it vibrates on every rep so that you will know if it doesn’t count one on your reps. The options available are tap me (every, or once) “5”. The idea of the app is great, but I would be better if it actually worked properly. Also, it would be nice for it to actually record how many reps you did... on the watch/ phone and the end workout data when you look in your workout app amongst calories burned etc. running apps track how far you run, why doesn’t this give you a final count as to how many you completed?

### 1/5 — Records Erroneous Exercise Minutes

*2020-05-26, version 1.3.8*

The app kept opening up automatically over and over on my Apple Watch recording hundreds of exercise minutes erroneously. I kept force quitting the app, force quitting my phone, force quitting the watch but nothing would stop the rep counter from opening right back up. Deleted the app from my phone and watch. Good idea but bad execution.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Pretty good

*2023-08-18, version 1.4*

Tracks nice, misses some reps but overall love it

### 5/5 — App disappeared from watch after last update

*2020-06-12, version 1.3.9*

Love the app but it disappeared from my watch after their last update, and I can’t seem to get it back.

Update: As a follow up to my earlier post. The developer reached out and advise to delete then reinstall the app. Works perfectly now!

### 5/5 — would be awesome

*2020-01-31, version 1.3.8*

would be a great app if it worked for apple watch series 5 :/

### 5/5 — WOW.

*2019-07-23, version 1.3.7*

(Review for Apple Watch app)
Just wow. From what I can tell, it automatically recognizes a pattern and counts from there. That way, I can use it with any machine, or when the activity I’m doing doesn’t directly involve the hand my watch is on. It’s straight to the point, too. No need for bs waiting to start a workout or switch pages to change reps or what activity. SO cool. Great job.

Whoever made this app is a BALLER.

### 5/5 — Good job!

*2019-03-09*

The app works very well. It assists me a lot in gym workout. I can’t imagine how much this app's value was to me. Just one word : Perfect!

### 5/5 — The perfect option

### 5/5 — Love all

*2019-03-09*

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2019-03-09, version 1.2.1*

Nice experience, thanks Rep Up for helping me in gym workout!

### 5/5 — The best app ever

*2019-03-09, version 1.2.1*

I’ve ever tried so many apps before but I surely claimed this is the best one ever! On top for this!

### 5/5 — Great

*2019-03-08, version 1.2.1*

Since it's designed to tap you can use it in the gym even when there's loud music. A good tool which is created for apple watch I know! Highly recommend
