RepairLens is an AI home-repair assistant for homeowners and renters. Point your camera at a crack, leak, stain, mold spot, or a misbehaving appliance and get a clear read on the problem. You also get the money answer: a DIY parts-and-materials estimate next to what a professional typically charges, so you can decide with numbers instead of guessing or overpaying.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Snap a close-up of the problem (add a wider shot or a label/model number if it helps).
2. Tap Diagnose for a clear, plain-English assessment. Your first two AI inspections are free.
3. Follow the ordered next steps, or jump straight to rated local pros in Apple Maps for the right trade.

WHAT EACH DIAGNOSIS GIVES YOU
RepairLens turns a photo into a plan:
• The money answer up front: DIY parts cost vs the typical pro price (US national average). It is a rough range, not a quote, but enough to sanity-check any estimate you're handed.
• Severity at a glance: Cosmetic, Keep an eye on it, Address soon, or Urgent: get help now.
• The likely cause, explained without jargon.
• A clear, ordered action plan you can actually follow.
• Honest DIY-vs-pro guidance, plus one tap to find the right trade (plumber, electrician, roofer) near you.
• Re-diagnose anytime to refine an issue as it changes or as you add photos.

• Export a PDF diagnosis report with photos, severity, plan, and costs on one page for a landlord, insurer, or contractor.

SAFETY FIRST
RepairLens is designed to flag recognized gas, electrical, structural, major-water, mold, asbestos, and high-tension garage-door hazards. When its AI output identifies one, a built-in safety guard overrides the result with "Urgent: get help now" and professional guidance instead of DIY steps. Detection is best effort and may miss hazards, so never rely on RepairLens for safety-critical decisions. It is not a replacement for a licensed professional.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your photos and inspections are stored on your device, and there's no sign-in or account to create. Turn on Privacy Lock to keep the app behind Face ID or Touch ID. Your photos never leave your device unless you choose to run a diagnosis. When you do, they're sent securely for that one analysis, with location and camera metadata stripped first. They're processed under the AI provider's API terms, under which your photos aren't used to train their models, as described in our Privacy Policy.
