Even when an issue is fixed, it often feels like a new one immediately appears, making the app unreliable and frustrating to use. The app can also be very irritating at times, especially with its notification system. Sound alerts and check-in notifications are excessive, and there have been multiple instances where the app glitches and sends repeated “check-in” alerts—sometimes as many as six to eight at once. As a user currently on probation, the reliability of this app is extremely important. My parole officer recently informed me that my check-in success rate had dropped to around 70%, which is concerning because it is usually around 90%. This difference raises serious concerns about the app’s accuracy and directly affects my compliance status. When I reached out to customer service for help, the experience only added to my frustration. The representative seemed dismissive and unwilling to acknowledge that the app could have technical issues. She walked me through checking my phone settings, but everything was already correctly enabled. After confirming this, her attitude came across as rude, petty, and unhelpful rather than supportive. Additionally, I was told not to run any other apps or use Bluetooth while using RePath, which essentially means I would have to limit my phone to only this app. This is unrealistic and unreasonable, as it interferes with normal daily phone use. While this app can be useful for communication and appointment reminders, the ongoing technical problems and ineffective customer service outweigh any of its positive features. ### 1/5 — Pointless *2026-02-20* I don’t see any real purpose behind this app and it’s childish to have to match symbols. When my compliance rely on this and whether my check ins are red or green and they’re all coming up green. More errors while trying to take a selfie. App staying open in the background after closing it causing excessive battery drain and phone overheating. I’ve brought this up my officer and they’ve mentioned others are having the same problems lately. ### 1/5 — another government scam *2025-01-20* i think that it’s completely a scam to have to use this app. i have to pay 60 dollars a month so the government can track me for a crime i didn’t commit, and the time between court appearances is just lining the governments pockets. i get notifications to take my picture at the worst times as well. i almost got fired because i had to take a picture for this stupid app but i’d rather be a free citizen hopefully in the near future and in search of a new job than be in prison and have no job all over a stupid app ### 1/5 — Professionalism *2024-10-23* This app was apart of my bond and release so they should have the same exact content,information,dates, etc as the court appointed . Instead they have the wrong court date, time , location, etc.The representative continued to verify with little laughter as she checked the official paperwork and the information posted on casenet as a completely different date and time . I contacted the respondent of my case on this app only to receive a script that had nothing to do with my case, my questions, and my inquiries in regards to my case. If this is something evident to anyone’s freedom it should be correct, accurate, and fair enough for one to follow and count on. Casenet is a public forum that anyone can log into and you would think copy correctly to report for the best of another person. This is dangerous,unprofessional, inappropriate , insensitive, and inaccurate to those who are to report to this. I was called on my personal cell phone ,which I suggested if I could use my email in case my cell phone would be disconnected due to a lack of funds while being out of work. That was not an option. This system is simply built around money and not rehabilitation for anyone going through regular everyday life experiences. It’s all about confusion and financial gain ### 1/5 — If I could rate less than 1 star I would. *2023-11-18* There is no customer service or help team to assist with logging in. I have been trying for 2 days. The app says a new verification code will be sent to my phone with a new password but nothing happens. It is a requirement of my bond. No help. No way to access help without first logging in. Disappointing. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — One update after the other *2026-08-31* I am very unsure why this application is waking me up at 2 o’clock in the morning, stating that there is no face detection, when it never asked for a check in, also it’s causing my phone to glitch and the battery life on my phone is being depleted and it seems my phone glitches a lot with all due respect I’m supposed to be at an appointment early in the morning and my sleep is being interrupted. Constantly runs your phone dead. Usually have to open the app 2 or 3 times to take a selfie and then wants you to play childish games after you’ve taken you picture. Every update makes it worse. The latest updates have this app going off every couple hours of the night if you don’t keep the app open at night even though the app is capable of running in the background as it checks your location 40 times a day. Without even being charged yet guilty, they are basically saying I am and made me wear a gps ankle monitor that was almost $400 month…. They are very bulky, uncomfortable, and being summer time I wore blue jeans to hide it while going out. This App however has been great for better terms. I wish all courts allowed this for anyone that needed a ankle monitor. I went from $400 a month to $30 a month! And it’s so nice you can just check in on your phone by taking a selfie when it tells you to. It also gives you some time to take the picture in case you miss it for whatever reason. I’ve noticed it also doesn’t ask you for anything from 8:30pm/9pm until around 7:30/8am the next morning, so you don’t have to worry about waking up and doing it. All though I hate I have to do this, I would recommend everyone going through hard times to get this app if they can. Hope this helps others like it helped me. When you work nights and sleep during the days the check-in are easy to miss because the notification sound is a short chime.
