The layout is a big improvement and I enjoy the new organization of the psalters, and daily readings even though some of them are now paywalled. I don’t even mind that the app now requires payment for fully functionality of the app, I just wish that I could make a single lifetime payment rather a subscription. Unfortunately with the update some of the changes are less enjoyable. For one the moving stars in the background of the prayer screen are extremely distracting and I couldn’t find a setting to turn them off. Also my custom prayers were deleted or placed behind the paywalls extra screens and when I attempted to re-add them the image selection wouldn’t work and the moving of the icons on screen was sluggish and inaccurate. I wish I could edit how the prayer screens functioned such as making the scroll vertical or shrinking the icons themselves to more seamlessly fit on one extended page. I would have reached out to the developer directly regarding these issues but there’s no contact info for him within the app or the App Store besides his Instagram account. ### 3/5 — Monthly Pay Wall - “Patron” *2026-04-25, version 2.0* A great app, there are many great tools that are free, but there are many other prayer tools that are blocked by a pay wall. Put chat gpt away and use your brain to make an app that actually works. ### 2/5 — Disappointing Update Practices *2026-07-07, version 2.1.6* I have enjoyed this app over the years and had built up a collection of prayers I wrote, which I saved in this app. Unfortunately after their recent update, they deleted/hid all user created content, so I lost access to all of the prayers I had written. I have been unable to connect with the developers or get assistance with this either. I cannot recommend an app that hides or deletes your content without warning to backup outside of the app. ### 2/5 — New update wipes out old data *2026-04-27, version 2.0.3* I understand the meaning behind the name change, but I preferred the old name and icon (in an iOS sense). More disturbingly, all my carefully crafted prayers and icons (in an Orthodox sense) were erased when the app automatically updated. My paid subscription is not working and can’t find another way to contact the developer. ### 3/5 — Unfortunate Update *2026-05-04, version 2.1* I have loved this app. Got it when it was “Eikon”. I think that was a more eye catching name and app tile. I also think the UI was MUCH more pleasant and comfortable than the new font and UI changes. I am also quite upset that whatever I had in it previously seems to have been factory reset. My custom icons and prayers — GONE. The reflections and homilies are great too. I usually go through these things after morning prayers. My only criticism would be the numbering on the quarterly psalter. Sometimes it’s there and other times it isn’t or it’s in the text itself. Also, thank you for adding a daily quote from one of the saints!
