### 5/5 — Great RPT app

*2020-03-19*

A simple, straightforward app that makes following a reverse pyramid training program easy to follow. After trying several other apps, this is the one I’m sticking with.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2020-03-08*

Exactly what I needed for reverse pyramid training.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2020-01-31*

10/10. Easy to use for leangains programming.

An additional feature I would like to see in the future is to be able to adjust the incremental weight formula. Only because some exercises like pull ups on the machine where you offload your weight, is inverse to the way the math works here. A small inconvenience that I work around with just writing a note of what percentage of my body weight I offloaded.

Overall the app is a 10/10 experience. Downloaded it and don’t look back.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your review! Please note that you should be able to modify the weight increment under Settings > Workout Program.

Shoot me an email if you have any further questions.

Thanks for using RePT!

### 5/5 — Great tool! Some features below which would add to it.

*2019-12-15*

A great tool, really great for a RPT training guide. excellent progression map. Some ideas for additional features:

1. Ez curl bar supplement for tricep/bicep work (just weight average factored in)

2. For weaklings like me starting out, assisted chin-ups with bands/colours prior to weighted chin-ups.

3. Total time once first warmup set is kicked off to last rep of accessory exercise

4. Some idea of warmup timing. e.g. like the notifications in warmups like stronglifts 5x5 (if it’s easy, rack and execute next warmup, if it’s hard, have a small break).

### 5/5 — Perfection

*2019-10-21, version 2.4.0*

Does exactly what you need, very simple and easy to use. Love it.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2019-08-26*

Already set up to do.

### 5/5 — Best workout app For lean gains training

*2019-06-03*

I have tried a variety of fitness apps, but this one is not only extremely user friendly for how it’s designed but also highly customizable to the training needs of its user.

Developer was also lightning quick to respond to a question that I had. 5/5 for sure!

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2019-05-10*

Easy to use. Workouts can be modified. The statistics function is helpful. First week using so I don’t know if it adjusts your weights and reps for the following week, because that would be very effective. I’m not sure it drops the weight by the correct percentage, but I’m still learning about RPT.

### 5/5 — Love it.

*2019-04-02*

I actually really like this app. Convenient for anyone that uses RPT as their strength training method. It’s pretty minimalist, but I would love to see the developer keep investing into this. Thanks for putting out a quality product. 👍🏻

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2019-03-06*

I’ve been looking for an app that did this workout type! So much easier than doing math on the fly at the gym!! Thanks!!

### 5/5 — Leangains RePT

*2019-01-21*

Thanks to Karl, finally Leangains RePT made super easy!!! Thanks for your hard work and excellent job developing the app! Thanks!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2023-07-19*

Very expensive for an app that isn’t particularly intuitive and when you input data you have to put it in a specific order or otherwise it doesn’t save. I’m going back to the Hevy app which I used before and just adjusting for RPT

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2021-05-17, version 2.6.1*

This app is so simple it wipes out the workouts and exercises you entered if you press the wrong icon. Oh, and the icons aren’t explained (.wth is an ambulance icon doing on the bottom of the workout settings?). It’s NOT intuitive at all. Supposedly you can restore if you press the wrong icon. However, ypu have to go locate the backup, wherever you stored it, and open it using the app. It doesn’t work. I tried to restore a backup, says doesn’t recognise the file. Get this if you want your data to be lost.

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2024-11-07*

Deleting a single workout messed up all of the charts (points are out of order) and there’s no way to fix it.

### 3/5 — Easy to use

*2022-10-28*

The app is easy to use without overwhelmning one with a lot of fluff.
However I wish they would have option to add more exercises

### 3/5 — Somewhat Limited Functionality

*2021-06-21*

Cannot add lifts with dumbbells.

### 4/5 — Could be better

*2024-09-06*

I like it a lot. But I have some feature requests. And buddy hasn’t touched it in over a year, so he’s unlikely to implement requests. I don’t blame him, it is what it is. Maybe I’ll just build my own? Sounds complicated…

### 4/5 — Just needs a watch app

*2020-01-06*

This is perfect for reverse pyramid. Only complaint is that I still need to carry my phone at the gym without a watch app.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2019-12-04, version 2.4.0*

As soon as they add dumbbells and custom machine weight intervals, this’ll be perfect.

### 4/5 — Nice app!

*2019-02-06*

Makes calculations and timing easier.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2024-09-03*

Very straightforward and simple, really makes my workouts efficient and effective. However, I would like to be able to name the workouts and not have them just “A,B,C,etc.”

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — overall solid but some minor issues

*2023-08-10*

it would be nice to be able to increase the bottom sets when you achieved the rep count last time around but failed the top set. this would put it more in line with the leangains guide.

### 5/5 — Using this app for 3+ years

*2022-10-06*

Simple to use. Intuitive interface.
Tracks my stats over the short term and long term.
Best app for RPT training hands down.

### 5/5 — Wish it had more options on workouts

*2022-08-07*

Love this app for RPT. Wish you could add more exercises (leg press, incline bench, dumbbells etc.).

**Developer response:** Thanks for your review! You can add more exercises. In Settings, click on Exercises then in the top right you'll see a + sign for adding new exercises

### 5/5 — Simply perfect

*2022-05-26*

Perfect app for reverse pyramid training. Simple and perfect.

### 5/5 — The best

*2021-10-12, version 2.6.1*

Best rpt app followed Martin berkhans program

### 5/5 — The Reverse Pyramid Training app

*2021-07-26*

This is THE reverse pyramid training app. I makes it extremely easy to keep track of the weights you need to do. It even tells you what to put on the rack. Fantastic app.

### 5/5 — Second and third set adjustments?

*2021-05-13*

This app is so good!! RPT is simply the best and most efficient way for most people to train for life!! this is such a terrific tool that complements the training..
I have one question, is there a way to change your weight on the second and third sets? So if I set my first set at 55lbs, it then sets my second at 45lb and then third at 40lb. I’d like to be able to control those percentages..

Thanks for the great work..

### 5/5 — Glad this app was made

*2020-10-24*

After reading lean gains it was nice to come across this app that does all the math for me and tells me what plates to put on. It would be nice if I could change the workout days by switching A and B day. It would also be nice if the warm up sets had a timer

### 5/5 — I’ve tried them all. This is the best.

*2020-07-01*

Simple UI, really easy to use. In and out of the gym within 45 mins and making the biggest gains since lifting for 20 years.
