After that, pure stress! The sign in process for obtaining OTPs and Sync Approvals needs to be revised - for eg. if the app isn’t working, or I have a new device and doing the entire sign in process from scratch… I would sign in on the browser first but then they tell me I need the OTP from the app. How am I supposed to get the OTP from the app if the app is down or if I have a new device and my all my data is erased from previous phone? That logic is wild. You need to make the OTP accessible through email or text, or create a more secure alternative method instead of forcing you to call them every time. Another thing!!! Why, on the browser welcome page y’all have what seems to be a screenshot of a picture of where the app can be downloaded instead of putting actual WORKING BUTTONS to download the app? Like, are you guys serious? So many “Republic Bank” replicas on the App Store. Not to mention, I researched the people who built RBL’s app and you know what, that tells me all I need to know. But otherwise, again, once fully set up, very easy to use. 3 stars 🌟 ### 3/5 — Logging in *2025-11-05* Can’t log into my account because of otp and sync approval doesn’t work as intended. The UI is 1998 and the amount of clicks you need to do anything is crazy. In my case, I am unable to retrieve any OTP or QR codes from the app so now all my transfers cannot be completed. So how am I to get an OTP if the app doesn’t offer one? How am I to reset this? How am I to open the app, as prompted, to get an OTP if I am already using the app? This app makes no sense, it’s not user-friendly and was designed by Neanderthals who never seemed to have tested it out. This app keeps sending the user in a complete open-ended loop. Worst design ever. Why not allow for an OTP or QR code to be sent via email or WhatsApp message which can then allow the user to either reset or remedy the verification process or conduct their transactions? ### 1/5 — App Filled With BUGS *2025-07-10* This app continues to be disappointing. Today, the "Change Notification Channel" feature returns a duplicate session error—tomorrow it will likely be something else. The development process appears careless. Thorough functional testing should be conducted by multiple team members, following a comprehensive checklist. Every feature must be verified across all major devices before updates are released. So I went to the bank who called tech support and they provided me with a temp password (which I received after a few days) with which I was able to log in and access my account. I see there are many new features which wasn’t there before! I haven’t tried it out as yet, but I think it’s a great update. There is an option to use Face ID to open the app, as well as SMS to confirm transactions or app notification which comes in handy if you travel a lot and switch out your SIM card. You can also transfer money to other people and business and pay bills which saves you trips to the bank and avoid the long lines and wait times!
