It’s nice that the city wants to give us a venue for serious complaints. However, viable and necessary requests are completed ~ 2% of the time. Response time and completion rate is 0/5. That is why 2/5. Idk who actually is monitoring these requests, but I feel like they need a performance review. I am tired of getting hit by vehicles while I am biking in the bike lane, following all of the rules, covered in blinking lights. ### 4/5 — A step in the right direction *2025-03-03* I’ve been using RequestIndy for many years, and I’m glad our city has this app. It’s nothing fancy but functional, and most of my requests were addressed within a month or sooner (weather permitting). I only have two suggestions: 1. Persistent login - I’m getting kicked out weekly, so it’d be more convenient if my login was remember for longer. 2. Email or SMS updates once a request is resolved. Other than that, it’s been working fine for me. Thanks! ### 1/5 — Where is quality control? *2024-05-04* This app has redundant clicks, the user experience is really bad. The app is slow. It makes you answer the same questions more than once. The developers can do better. Way better! ### 2/5 — Location Services Errors *2023-07-10* Off and on when trying to report issues such as city street pothole problems the program errors out and your unable to pinpoint an address or even type in and search for an address. This happens even after having tried the app on three to four different devices thinking it is on the users end. It becomes very frustrating when this happens. The app will even have a pop-up asking for a one-time permission or while using the app location permission. Neither option seems to solve the problem. ### 1/5 — Request indy *2022-10-03, version 4.0.6* This app doesn’t allow you to upload pictures I using iPhone XR on iOS 16.0.2 ( 20A380) could you guys please fix this problem asap ### 1/5 — Abysmal upgrade *2022-09-22* I haven’t regretted allowing my phone to automatically keep apps up-to-date until now. Now I want the old app back. The redesign is terrible for my use case. I formerly could almost finish a submission about a burnt-out traffic light before the light turned. It was clunky and aesthetically outdated but everything was discoverable and easy to reach. Now any of the less-frequent requests are hard to find, and slow to navigate to, and anonymous submissions are no longer allowed. So, I provide angry anonymous names and broken email addresses. My apologies to the people who read my gripes and can’t do anything about the terrible app design, but don’t worry, it’s a safe bet I’m going to stop using it because the friction is just exponentially worse than it used to be. ### 1/5 — Update and overhaul *2022-09-08* This app is not bad how it is setup. However, new update has same issues as the previous version. It will not locate an address even though you’re typing in the exact address. Also, the latest version has the option to upload photos of issues, but it doesn’t work. ### 2/5 — Missed opportunity *2022-08-15* This app could be so much more. The city missed an opportunity to build an app that’s accessible and easy to use. Instead, it’s full of redundant menus, takes several more steps than necessary to complete basic actions, follows no modern design principles, and isn’t even optimized for mobile with small serif fonts and dated forms. I still use the app regularly to report potholes, but this app is a huge miss. ### 1/5 — Failure to act *2022-07-31, version 1.4* Several neighbors and I have submitted requests for various things like potholes and nuisances, and nothing ever seems to get done. ### 1/5 — There are still no request options. *2022-05-04* Unlike in the screencap, no request options appear. Zero. When I click “most common requests”, there is nothing. There are no options that appear on the main screen either. The website on mobile is exactly the same. There is no way to use this app to submit a request while it’s like this. It does not work. ### 1/5 — “Pothole” submission *2022-03-10* After submitting a request a week or so ago, there was NEVER any action taken, then on a recent “tour” of the website, I was unable to submit an additional request because it kept saying that “there was no address” for that location Know I can see WHY the site only has 2.3 stars out of 5 ! I guess you have to be a computer scientist to use this app ### 3/5 — Good, but needs improvement *2022-02-27* This is a good app, but has a long way to go. ### 3/5 — Features missing *2019-11-11* Ability to report graffiti has been removed, also there is no option to report occupied housing violations. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2019-09-05, version 1.4* Trying to get info on why only one trash can gets emptied. Says I have to download this app. This app doesn’t work. Takes you no where except back to Indy.gov tells you to get app! ### 1/5 — Why can you not submit pothole requests *2018-02-26, version 1.3.1* I find the app frustrating and more government bureaucratic red tape. They don’t want duplicate entries for pot holes? Why not they might find areas that are really bad and need attention? People’s cars are getting torn up and what is being done to fix the roads? Where did the road money go? Why are we using ice melt that is destructive to our roads and why are we not using better materials? From surface streets to interstates they are all a mess. Oh why am I putting. This in a review because I can’t put in the app! ### 2/5 — The App works. The City's action does NOT *2018-02-03, version 1.3.1* Have used this App on a few occasions. The App is fine for reporting an issue. But like someone else mentioned--you cannot see the details of the resolution to the problem. Probably because there is NO resolution to the issue. The City closes the Request and does nothing. ### 1/5 — Doesn't work at all. *2017-04-27, version 1.3.1* The app does absolutely nothing. I’m on My 3rd Day of Trying to get it to Open . I Would Not Waste Time Downloading It. ### 1/5 — Too limited *2026-03-09* I want to report a missing cap on a fire hydrant. This app only allows you to pick from a very limited set of choices. None of them have anything to do with fire hydrants. 311 doesn’t work on my mobile phone. I’ll see if IFD has a non-emergency phone number. ### 1/5 — Stopped working again *2026-02-18* The app doesn't load. It displays a splash screen with monument circle and nothing loads. It just searches endlessly and you can not submit any requests. ### 1/5 — “Closed no comments” *2025-09-08* Total waste of time, this app is run by employees who do nothing for users. Go ahead, submit a ticket, any ticket! And you’ve got a 100% chance it’ll be closed with no comments. The mayor needs to quit focusing on his SA scandal and direct his employees to actually work. ### 1/5 — Pointless *2025-06-17, version 5.0.0* The app is clunky at best. When you have a problem forget about any kind of support. My password failed, entered my email for a reset. The reset email gives you a link with the message to follow the instructions to reset your password. The only takes you to the web version of the app with the same login as the app, pointless. The only support link just sends you to the general Indy.gov website, no help there. Probably the worst support even among government agencies. ### 1/5 — Locked out of account *2025-05-20* Unable to reset password. Link that is sent does not work. Called directly 2 months ago, no help at all. Can’t create a new account unless I create a new email account. I never knew the number to the Mayor's Action Center. Now I can quickly & easily report these issues. Plus I can send a photo with the report & even know the status of my report. Great application!
