## What is Reroute?

You don't actually want to spend another hour scrolling. You want to write, train, study, build but in the moment, the urge to check the feed always wins.

Reroute uses Apple's Screen Time system to guard the apps that consume all of your free time. Tap one, and instead of the feed opening, Reroute meets you there first. From that moment, you choose: leave for something you'd rather be doing, take a quick peek, or spend banked minutes on a deliberate scroll.

FEATURES
App guard: The apps you choose can only be opened through Reroute — no willpower required at the moment of the urge.
Redirects that fit you: Every intercepted open offers a menu built around what you actually do instead — message someone, make a call, listen to something, handle a task, study, journal, or build your own custom chip. Pick two during setup; they show up every time.
Time banking: Get a daily allowance for deliberate scrolling (your call, in minutes). Spend it when you mean to — unused time carries back to you instead of disappearing.
Timed sessions with Live Activity: Active sessions show up on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Tap to end a session early and bank whatever time is left.
Daily intentions: Jot down what you want to get done today, and Reroutewhen the urge to scroll hits — optional, and easy to turn off inSettings.
Streaks & history: Track every redirect, every minute saved, every sessbuild as staying on track gets easier.
Private by design: Apple's Screen Time framework keeps your guarded apps opaque even to us — Reroute never sees which apps you chose or what happens inside them.

NOT A BLOCKER. NOT A LECTURE.
Reroute isn't parental-control software, and it isn't a cold-turkey blots who want their time back — no shame, no lockouts, just a small, deliberate choice every time the urge hits.
Small actions, compounding. Every reroute is a vote for who you're beco

### 5/5 — Works Frustratingly Well!

*2026-07-09*

I thought I was disciplined with my time while at work, and somewhat at home. But Reroute DEFINITELY highlighted some frequent habits I had no clue I was doing. I’m now starting to see how often I’d pick up my phone e between meetings and clients, totally sapping my productivity. Today, I finished all my tasks BEFORE my workday ended.

Going through app detox ain’t easy!!!

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-12

Reroute now asks what you're actually trying to do, not just how long you want.

Instead of picking a duration, you can send yourself somewhere with a purpose: message someone, make a call, listen to something, handle a task, or build your own custom chip that goes wherever you want. Pick two that fit how you actually use your phone, and they'll show up every time you're asked why you opened a guarded app.

Also in this update:
• Daily goals can now be hidden in Settings if you don't use them
• Fixed a bug that could falsely lock you out after briefly backgrounding the app
• Cleaned up the reroute screen so it's easier to see at a glance

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-21

Reroute 1.0 → 1.0.1: A big one.

We rebuilt Reroute around a simple idea: your phone should support the life you want, not just block you out of it. Here's what's new.

One-time purchase — no more subscription
This is the headline. Reroute is now a single, one-time purchase. Buy it once, own it forever. No monthly fees, no renewals, no surprise charges. If you're an existing subscriber, your access carries over automatically — restore anytime from Settings.

Daily goals, in your own words
Set a real intention for the day in plain language — not another rigid timer. Reroute keeps it front and center so every app open is a small moment of choice.

Protected time blocks
Carve out the parts of your day that matter — mornings, dinner, focus hours, bedtime — and keep the noise out when it counts most.

Smarter, escalating friction
We replaced the old "daily bank" with friction that adapts. The more you reach for a distracting app, the more intentional Reroute asks you to be. Gentle at first, firmer when you need it.

Once-a-day flow, redesigned
Your daily check-in is faster and calmer, so setting up your day takes seconds.

See your choices, not just your screen time
A new Decision Branch chart and session history show the moments you chose differently — the opens you skipped, the time you took back. Progress you can actually feel.

A brand-new onboarding
Getting started is clearer, warmer, and quicker than ever.

Under the hood
Faster launches, a more reliable Live Activity, and dozens of fixes and refinements throughout.

Thanks for being here. Reroute is built to help you spend less time scrolling and more time living — and now it's yours to keep.
