Get this feature in place and your platform will be vastly improved! Having buyers go through the platform to communicate with sellers is archaic; like being on dial up and sending faxes instead of email…🙄😅 ### 4/5 — Great for Buyers, Fees Hurt Sellers *2026-08-11* Amazing app overall, especially for buyers. There seem to be a lot of really good deals and the prices are often much better than what you’ll find elsewhere. I haven’t personally bought anything through the app yet, so I’m not sure whether buyers also pay a processing fee. For sellers, though, it can be difficult to make any sort of money because the processing fees take a pretty large cut from each sale. If the seller fees were lower, I think this app would be even better. Overall, it’s a great marketplace with very competitive prices, especially from a buyer’s perspective. ### 3/5 — A Lot Off the Top *2026-07-26* You are paying for security I suppose. The hope is that the person you are buying from or selling to will be honest, and there is some assurance there. That said, they charge an extra $20 to the buyer for shipping and take %20 from the seller. This affects both the buyer and seller negatively. Buyers will often make a bid and commit to purchasing, but then back out. While this could be for a number of reasons, I do wonder if it’s related to what happens once they see the charge for shipping. Also, there is no way to contact the buyer if you are a seller, or vice-Versa. Additionally, the folks at Rescented require sellers and buyers to use an app to transfer money, which also charges a fee for transferring the money into your bank account. So, a lot of extra people appear to be making a lot of money off of the transactions. Perhaps it is better to stick to other outlets until they adjust their charges. ### 3/5 — Charge too much *2026-07-08, version 5.4* It’s a good app they just charge wayyyyyy too much on processing fees it’s ridiculous. Other than that prices are great and the selection of fragrances are super good. Wished the shipping wasn’t $15 ### 4/5 — Pet Peeve *2026-06-14, version 4.8* I love the idea of this app, and I’ve bought a couple of bottles through it with no problems. I highly recommend it if you find the right deal. That said, one pet peeve I have is that some sellers list open bottles, usually around 80–90% full, at prices similar to unopened bottles from retailers — and sometimes even higher than unopened bottles on the grey market. Just saying. ### 4/5 — A few tweaks and it would be flawless *2026-06-05, version 4.8* Aside from a few user interface inconveniences, this app has a great foundation. Definitely needs more users to fill up the market, seems sort of sparse right now, but it could still just be taking off. My issues were mostly quality of life stuff like not being able to simply click on the seller’s username to navigate to his page or being able to click on our messages/offer section to access the listing. Being able to hop between pages like that would smooth things out. On the positive end, I received my fragrance and received attentive customer service when I had questions about shipping. They even followed up to make sure my delivery went smooth. ### 5/5 — Simple and Effective *2026-06-05, version 4.8* Rescented is actually solid. The app makes buying easy and straightforward. I have already grabbed some great deals and the authenticity checks give real peace of mind when pulling the trigger on pre loved bottles. No weird hassle with browsing or checkout. Clean interface and a legit community of collectors. If you are hunting for deals or want to discover new scents without the usual headaches this is worth a shot. ### 5/5 — Awesome all around *2026-06-05, version 4.8* Great interface and experience. Every other app I’ve used has looked a little bit sketchy, but not this. The fees are a bit higher than you may find elsewhere, but you get far more in return with peace of mind alone. Very streamlined setup, and they respond to emails quickly as well. A lot of low ballers and time wasters, but that exists on all platforms. I recommend this if you have any fragrances that are lightly used and collecting dust. I will say I wish the confirmation process was a bit more clear. I don’t like the new payment system that requires everything about your life to just get paid. The fees are crazy. I understand a fee for the app, but it’s a little much. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Do Not Sell Here! *2026-08-07, version 6.2* I cannot recommend this platform to anyone selling expensive fragrances. I sold an Amouage Boundless bottle that I believed to be authentic and documented extensively with detailed photos of the bottle, cap, atomizer, batch code, box, and fill level before shipping. After delivery, the buyer disputed authenticity. Throughout the dispute, I repeatedly asked what specific issue had been identified with my bottle. Rather than identifying any specific characteristic of the bottle itself, I was ultimately told that their authenticity team had made a final determination based on the “totality of the evidence,” including where I originally purchased the fragrance and information they claimed to have found on eBay. The experience as a seller was extremely one-sided. Once the authenticity team made its decision, there was no meaningful opportunity to respond or understand the specific characteristics that allegedly made the bottle counterfeit. I was also informed that my bottle would not be returned unless I paid a $15 return shipping fee. I could not find that requirement in the published Terms or Seller Policy, and when I questioned it, I was simply told the matter was closed. If I chose not to pay the fee, I was told the bottle would not be returned and that the buyer would be instructed to dispose of it. My advice to other sellers is simple: understand that if a buyer disputes authenticity, Rescented has sole discretion to make the determination, and the dispute process may leave you with very limited ability to challenge that decision or recover your property. Based on my experience, I will not be using this platform again. ### 1/5 — Great for shopping, horrible for selling *2026-07-17, version 5.6* Recently I made a mistake of selling one of my fragrances that covers the juice inside unless you have a bright light against the bottle, and I didn’t take a picture of it. The person who bought from me, I’m certain he took advantage and took some out and put juice in a decant. Now on top of the ridiculous 20% tax, I’m getting $45 deducted from my pay. I’ve previously have sold 2 bottles that have the same situation where the color of the bottle hides the juice, and I had no problems, so I wasn’t expecting something like this to happen. I’ll never sell here again, horrible experience and treatment. ### 1/5 — Terrible selling experience *2026-07-15, version 5.5* This is not an app for novice sellers who want to get rid of a couple bottles. The amount of hoops they make you go through to sell is ridiculous. Then that same number asks for receipts of the fragrances even thought you purchased them years ago. How do they expect people to keep receipts from years ago. This app format won’t last long.
